The state of grounds at this stage of the season is a major concern. It’s only June.
Quite odd, Has it really been that wet? Maybe it’s the huge amount of traffic with the expansion of junior and women’s football.
Only get worse from here. Grass just won’t grow back in winter.

Probably the 1 player they couldn't afford to lose. McEvoy will now have to play ruck, which depletes there forward line even more.
Heidelberg going back to back is shortening by the day.
North, Monty big chances still.
Heidelberg getting McLarty helps a lot but he struggles to stay on the park so who knows

Yeh Mont are a chance. Not sure North can win it. Will be a big game for them this week against Montmorency. They need a big scalp of either Mont, Bundoora or Heidelberg.
Any idea how many points he will be? They were 43/46 yesterday going by the NFL site.

expansion of juniors?
Some junior clubs have expanded.
Montmorency has 6 under 9s team which is terrible for grounds as they use the centre square as a goal square.
Eltham 3-4 under 9s sides
Plus girls junior football that didn’t exist 5 years ago.
Some grounds have far more load than previous.
