Come off it. They are beatable.

Montmorency need a forward line. They held bergs to 70 odd both finals but only scored 30-40 themselves allowing zero scoreboard pressure. They can change that with some improvement and recruits.

They only beat North and Boro by 30 odd not 130.

Heidelberg probably should have been up by about 50 points at 1/4 time in the GF.

Think outside the box, bit of chemical warfare by poisoning Heidelberg's Thursday chomp
Bit like the cricket club who put on the arvo tea spread many years ago and had a home table and and oppo table of fare. Unfortunately the oppo table had cookies that were knock off Arnotts laced with a bit of hash. Made for an interesting second half of the day😬🤢

Yeah it’s only being going about 20 years now 😂
You just have to applaud them. They obviously have a great culture and people and players want to stick around.
You look at Bundoora and West Preston who had very good seniors and reserves for a very long time and they both crashed very quickly.

The hardest part is keeping your reserves strong and they seem to want to stick around, which sais a lot.

West Preston having a nice off season. Probably the most active club.
Yeah they have done well and I think they will be around the finals mark.
Heidelberg obviously been very active too and Montmorency have a couple still to be announced.
Everyone else has been pretty quiet so far except for Bundoora but they have had to replace many players.

Might have gone under the radar but North have recruited some talls who by all accounts can really play & will address a weakness in that area plus a few other newbies will add to their midfield depth. Those who have moved on & its not that many it's a trade off & now up to the 19-21 group to take their chance.

Used 45 players this year & finished T3 although finals was a big disappointment. A decent run next season & they are in the mix for same again.

Heidelberg used 46 players and Mont used 50, so I'm not sure there is too much weight on that particular stat. If they have brought in some quality big men, it will certainly help them close the gap.

Loss of two Heatley's will be massive

Was aware of the T2 having the same if not more players running around but focusing on North for a club with supposedly little depth they did well for T3. More game time to younger players & getting exposure at senior level however to bomb out in straight sets it was not a great finish.

Plenty of work to do for the Doggies. Good side on paper but looking at them closely during the finals they looked a bit unsettled & underdone which is possibly due to those who returned from injury lacking match hardness.

Regarding the Heatley comment earlier, Jason's time was up, he knew that & the club amicably parted ways. Great coach but was outgunned in finals. As for Parker he was restless towards end of season & showed in finals & struggled with the attention. Be interesting to see how that partnership works at Wang Magpies.
