What has happened to Thomastown. Lost last three games. Lot of talk about how good they would be, but obviously not good enough.

Yeah they need to probably look at their youth coming through and rebuild I think.
This season seems gone will need to win all 8 remaining games and even then that may not be enough.

Thomastown dont have under 19's - Their strategy for years is to recruit players from other clubs - Seems to be going well for them

how are mernda and south thriving div 1 clubs when they can’t even get there seniors outta division 3? as well as there 19s?

Case in point. Just making that clear to the wise men of Bigfooty. There is no guaranteed way to success and that's be proven time and time again.

Not suggesting the players are letting you down but if you want to get out of div 2 would targeting blokes who know what it takes to get to the next level and can improve the way you go about it be a better fit?
So the only way to success is targeting proven div 1 guns who have won flags. Interesting theory. How did all other 9 clubs in div 2 miss that Memo as well.

What you were saying is clear and it's not the first time. It's a sore spot for you for whatever reason. Which player did thomo sign from your club?

And let's talk facts now. A few of Thomastowns regular 'Div 3' recruited players would walk into every other side in Div 2. The division players come from has nothing to do with their ability. But no point writing things that are truthful and won't get 1 or 2 likes from a few of the other experts is there rusty.

Isn’t a sore spot for me because the team I follow no longer has to play them and this has obviously hit a nerve for you hasn’t it? I wasn’t talking about any players general talent coming from div 3, everyone knows knows the guys from Morang and west Heidelberg are all very good players but more the ability to make team mates better off field, get more out of themselves with preparation, training standards, leadership and maybe getting the smaller things right that might stack up in the close games that Thomo seem to lose.

Anyway just an observation and opinion. Which is what I thought this forum was for you shouldn’t be losing sleep over bigfooty. Lol

Pretty sure they have a few division 1 blokes who have won flags in their side. Again you only really explained your observation after being pressed. In reality you and a few others sensed an opportunity to criticise thomo that's all this is about. And when questioned its the standard 'this is a forum or my opinion'.

Get down to thomo, have a drink with a few blokes and find out for yourself instead of trying to kick the joint.

Having watched them on the weekend and a few weeks ago, one thing to me that stands out is their overall fitness is not up to scratch across the board. This day and age I best be careful because someone might say I am "body shaming" but reality is this is an athletic sport and a good level of footy, too many blokes carrying to many KG's. Not going to be competitive with the other clubs who are vying for a premiership with no fitness.

Sure thing if it makes you sleep better tonight. 😂

4 out of 5 just missing on my Lower Plenty tip

Winner of the round: Hard to split St Marys and Epping who both had great wins for finals aspirations and avoiding relegation respectively. Epping having 11 more scoring shots and winning by a point has just about ensured their spot in division 2 for 2023

Loser of the round: It would have been a despondent Fitzroy Stars change room at 5pm Saturday afternoon. They threw everything at Epping but ultimately come up 2 points short of their first win in 2022. Makes it very hard to see them survive division 2 now and they will look to re-group in 2023 when for the first time they will play in NFNL Division 3

NFNL Are a disgrace. Happy to post the time stamps in here for people to go check for themselves. But a player to be suspended 6 weeks for a tackle and another player 3 weeks for a tackle is ridiculous.

Mernda guy a few weeks back King hit a bloke and copped 6 weeks , and for tackling is that now equaled the same? And like i said happy to post time stamps but they were not tackles worthy of anything more then a holding the ball or ball up.

Tell the players at your clubs to be careful so they don’t get screwed over like two of our players did tonight.

Absolute disgrace.
