What did you make your account for then?

Also which players are you suggesting are being "looked after"?

Carryon Wayne! Or is it you Peter? Or DB??

Poor old watsy it’s the same sad story with the club. Look after your own, before going after committee members sons mates that only want to come to the club purely because of money..

Clown responses , you guys made accounts blasting kids names for no reason ,
no wonder the club can’t get anyone when everytime someone leaves to go off after giving the club good service with nothing in return they get abused !

Don’t understand anyone begrudging any footballer going where the cash is, what’s next, 18 year old draftees being called mercenaries for going to the AFL. Every local footy player should maximise their earn as much as they can.
I guess that's just with our society now.... everything has to be now. Not hearing NO. Not working hard for success.

I guess I grew up in another lifetime where you stuck by your team/club for team success, not individual selfish $$$. Dollars came from work... as I said, I'm old school. If blokes are relying on getting a few $$ playing footy on the weekend to live, then our society is cooked.

Not about society being cooked it's probably about making cash why the sun is shining. It is not a new concept either, players have been making hay whilst the sun is shining for many many years.

There are some like you (and certainly me but I was never a paid player, got the odd meal or few pots of beer) that believes in Club over cash, character and loyalty should come first.

However, if you are young and say a tradie, you are possibly losing money playing footy on a Sat when there is plenty of work out there. $$$$ you ear at footy can help to no end especially if you look at buying a house, whilst the $$ could not go towards the loan it can go towards many other things you are needing.

Then there is the fringe players on lowest amount, he may want an oppertunity to get more $$$ and more senior games, cannot hurt to try. I feel many Clubs have a few big ticket earners and a lot on a base salary, when you have people come to your club, take the big bucks, and you get 0 and less games who is being loyal there? How can a Club scream loyalty when they are bringing in the money takers, you would be mad not to put your toe in the water.

It happens, many don't like it but it's not new and will not stop, we have to learn to live with it.

And for those waiting AFL-V community program people to find out those overspending by thousands.....its not happening, they dont really care. They make the rules and sit back happy they have done their bit. Unless there is a disgruntled committee person or player who has good evidence then nothing will change.

It makes for great offseason chat and guesstimates on how much though.

It’s an expensive choice given working and cost of living increases, blokes need to be able to justify playing footy vs giving up dollars working. Hardly cooked but living is expensive these days. You risk a fair bit playing local footy.

Looking for a few extra bucks playing local footy isn’t cooking society.

Nice little get for LP. fringe Div1 player but that reads like he will be a 1 pointer.

Will need one or two more and probably 6 or 7 to ensure magoos are pushing the ones, that's what is needed, a reserves team that coaches have to watch as there is players making seniors players earn their spot. Seems in today's landscape this is one of the hardest things to do, have a strong reserves. Some players skate though knowing they are selected as there is no one to replace them.

A lot of 1 pointers. Apparently few big outs at thommo obviously Leonardis and a few retirements. Points shouldn't be an issue. Are these signings good enough to get the bears back to finals?
Janev is a very good big bodied midfielder/forward, probably accounts for losing Leonardis.

Would Northcote Park be one of the only teams left in Melbourne without a coach for next year? It’s ridiculous how long it’s taken them considering they didn’t play finals
