At laurimar after 10 weeks of football we also have 1 solitary suspension of 2 weeks
I enjoy my trips to laurimar, passionate crowd, good football people. They certainly don’t play dirty from anything I’ve seen. Also have some of the most exciting players in the comp. I know some people don’t like them though

Each club has different experiences with each opposition. The original poster is a Heidelberg West supporter, and if I recall correctly there was an alleged rather unsavory incident involving racism towards a West player a few seasons ago versus Laurimar.

Hello Bertybeetle

I’d love to hear your concerns. As a proud member of the ultimate reserves (smasher of pies and tinnies)
I find your outlandish accusations hurtful and I would like to conduct a thorough audit of the reserves.

I for one devoured a delicious chicken burger with chips (add a helping of tomato sauce) at the Lalor game and purchased multiple refreshments.

I do however digress we have indeed “byo’d” once this year after the successful club up the road forgot to partake in the ritual of exchanging the slab. Deeply hurt and insulted we indeed purchased a solitary slab.

From my limited memory of 2pm games I do believe we support most bars and food stands of opposition teams.

I do look forward to your factual response and concern list so I can personally go about fixing the issues.

Much love
The Kitch
My comment would be more directed towards the behaviours of those not on the field, as mentioned laurimar aren’t ones to get many representations at the tribunal. Everyone supports a canteen when they are hungry but it’s very easy to not support a bar when they are thirsty.

Disregard onfield and this has nothing to do with any racial incidents from years ago. But I’m sure we have all experienced the verbal sledging that is sometimes over the top around the grounds and underneath the decking at Laurimar reserve.

Round 10 of Divison 3 footy and interests for double chance between Kilmore and Laurimar and 4th spot between Heidelberg West and Okd Eltham makes for a good competition

Reservoir (8th) take on Laurimar (3rd) at Crispe Park. The power will enjoy the wide spaces of Crispe park which is usually in good condition. The power have gone about their business over the last few weeks and this week could be that % booster they are looking for. With Francis, Williamson, Cecil and Trajanovski in their front half, another big score could be on the cards. For the Mustangs another tough day could be in the cards. Power by 110 points.

Kilmore (2nd) take on Mernda (6th). Kilmore had a great win last week and will look to continue on their winning ways. Losing Ryall to injury is a concern, hopefully he isn’t out for too long. For the demons, they have again lost leading goal kicker Kimuliatis which impacts on their ability to score. Not sure where the demons are heading to be honest, again lots of big footy chatter this week about the demons. Kilmore too much to play for and have too much class across the ground. Kilmore by 32 points.

Lalor (7th) take on Old Eltham (4th). Lalor would have been disappointed in their 1st half last week but showed some resolve in 2nd half. The turtles continue to win and jumped into the top 4 for the first time this season. % could play a key in 4th spot so the turtles will be hoping for fine weather and opportunity to have a good win. Lalor will make them work hard they for it but turtles by 27 points.

Match of the day in division 3 sees undefeated Sth Morang (1st) take on Heidelberg West (5th). The lions keep on keeping on and had another good win last week. For West, they would be disappointed with 50 point loss at home against Kilmore. Miki is a big out for them but they have brought back veteran goal kicker Ewart as the full forward target. Of turtles win and west drop this one, they win be a game and % out of the top 4. Yes they have an easier draw in the run home but would be a few nervous West supporters hoping the season doesn’t slip away from them like it did in 2019. Lions to remain undefeated, winning by 39 points.

Enjoy your footy

Can west cause an upset? Will be hard without their best play Miki.

Who will knock off South or are they going to go undefeated

I wouldn’t have thought so, Sth Morang too young and quick for West.

I was a big rap for West at start of the year, losing Chimenello has really hurt them. He was quite impressive at start of the year playing CHB.

As for who beats Sth Morang, I think Laurimar might beat them but Lions still favourites (at this stage) for the flag.

Injuries, loss of form, poor weather can play a big part come finals time

I know west defeated Laurimar earlier in the year but they don’t have the same form line post the covid pause. Missing too many for mine.

But how do you know their age?

Go back through the previous years to see when and if they played 19’s and if they played 19’s so you roughly can work out there ages as there is new names in there. It takes around 15 minutes to have a look. All the heat has been on Mernda including from myself so was having a look at them, is there something wrong with that? As people on here go back through tribunal records and all that sort of stuff I had a look at there ages.

But how do you know their age?

And if I had to break it down for you if you go back through to 2018,
In 2018 - 9 of there current senior players named this weekend played under19’s in that year
2019 - 4 of there current players played under 19’s
2021- 3 players have been 23rd man

So that makes 16 sorry not 17 players that have to be 21 and under.

I’d guess South would have similar age demographic, they are on top undefeated though and Mernda have won 2 games.

Gee they must of recruited well in 2018 @mick2323

West have just fallen off a cliff. There is getting beaten and then getting beaten twice like that

Mernda looked to have pushed Kilmore.

other results as expected

Not sure what’s happened at west? How do they just fall off like that so quickly?
Power and turtles did what was expected.
And I said the young blokes at Mernda are looking a better side without the big names. Shame the bloke in charge doesn’t know how to coach a group with potential to actually win a game against the odds without having the better side if that makes sense.
10/10 for the young blokes, 2/10 for the coach.

4 out of 4
Not sure what has happened at West, injuries are playing a part but season is very similar to 2019
As for Mernda, let’s put a bit of perspective, yes they are playing kids but most clubs do.
They have 2 wins after publicly stating at start of the year, finals or bust.
The 2 wins are against Lalor and Resevoir. Lalor have won 4 games since 2017 and Reservoir haven’t won a game
Can the turtles keep the 4th spot and finals position for the first time

Actually attended the mernda game today... kilmore were very shakey
They'd want to fire up towards the end of the year if they want to have an impact on the finals
