Agreed... There's no confusion now that the job was not made hard because of a lack of support, recruitment opportunities, finances, club operations or what the footy department was provided. Any future coach needs to be crystal clear on that point as the clubs begins their search.

I'll ring Gaz later in the week and find some time to chat it through. He's a good guy and I thought he'd be at Lalor a bit longer to be honest...?

I know personally that Gary & Benny both worked tirelessly at the LFNC. The football dept is the ONLY part of the club struggling atm. Gary worked immensely to improve the playing group & was starting to see things turn around. The club is still in a good financial position due to the work Ben has done of field & practices put in place for the future. Unfortunately it hasn't all gone to plan & covid has been a major player here. I am sad Gary has decided to leave due to a misunderstanding but the people inside the club know what happened & they are the only ones who need to know. Essentially the clubs finances are fine & we still have a core of committed players. It will be a great destination for the right coach.

Is it really? The last page of ramblings, ranting and carry on suggests otherwise. Pinning the clubs failures on one man seems an enormous stretch. Either way I'm glad you blokes have “moved on”.

No-One pinned this on one man - My point remains, and to coin a phrase… I think it’s an enormous stretch to pin the “hardest job he’s had in 30 years” to the club when I know first-hand what’s been made available and while they are currently looking for a replacement… But hey, it’s all how we read things - it’s all been clarified.

I agree, the flip jumpers at $90 should be mandatory... Very good point.

Honestly, there is nothing more to my take other than "loose lips, sink ships" - I felt the comment was left to interpretation for any potential coach.

For my two bobs, I think Gary staying on in the role would have been the best case for all parties... But I'm not part of that process anymore.
