Knocked a kids teeth out and put another into a concussion in his last 5 games, but good news he will be back on the field this year!!

NFNL really making a statement
Totally agree 10571z

Weak by the NFNL

17 matches suspended from 3 Mernda players in 2022

Be interested to see if he plead guilty or not guilty

That’s all you get for punching someone off the ball in the NFNL…

What a joke.
Delaney got downgraded from 12 to 6 last year for knocking a kids teeth out. Crouch from 5 to 2. Clearly the nfnl dont mind slashing sentences.

Blokes get 2 weeks for rough tackles/conduct where there is no injury or concussion to the opponent (Not saying this is wrong, removing the sling tackle is important)

But in the scheme of things, if a rough sling tackle with no injury to the player is worth 2 weeks, a coward punch that causes concussion should be a hell of a lot more - especially if it's not your first offence.

It’s 2022, clearly the league and their appeals board aren’t up holding community expectations in regards to penalties.

This isn’t happening in any other division nor any other club.

I had a chat with someone from Laurimar and they are seething. 2 ex division 1 players concussed against the same club for off the ball coward punches. Both with priors, both who will be enjoying football again this season.

So the umpire saw it and didn’t hand at least a yellow?

Punches him in the jaw imo… regardless shouldn’t be punching anyone?

But I thought he had a doctors letter saying he was concussed

Certainly brings the whole league into disrepute nfnlegend
Not sure clubs would be happy with the bad publicity that Mernda continues to bring to the league.
Unfortunately the lack of action is a reflection on the NFL Managers/Leaders NOT Mernda - Mernda as a club has not been held to account and their disgraceful actions continue on field
Another article in the media shaming Mernda players however the inference that the NFL continues to allow these incidents to occur is damning on the NFL managers currently employed by the NFL clubs
Will the board act??
