They don't need Lalor to get a club in Wollert. Probably better off starting from a clean slate. Not sure why a relocated Lalor would be any better in Wollert than they are in Lalor ?

Wouldnt we be better off saving a club that has significant history in this league? Why not offer them a lifeline and see what they can make of it.

Lalor bloods, Stars and West Lalor jnrs all gone, the area just hasn't got kids playing football not sure how Thomo and Epping are going with kids ?
Epping have 1x u9/10/12/14/16/17 boys teams. 1x u14 girls team, Thomastown have 1x u12 team and Keon Park have 1 team.

They would get Juniors if they moved to Wollert. Easily

The kids that play football in the area are at Mernda and Epping, the rest of them are cricket 24/7. The demographics of the area have changed significantly over the years

Lalor, will change again but in years to come when young families start to move into the area again.

Solutions for sustaining clubs isn’t that easy especially when positions are voluntary roles.

Agree wholeheartedly, just throwing out options.

They cannot wait for the demographic to change in Lalor. They wont survive.

Young families arent looking to raise their kids in lalor, when they head 20 minutes north and get a better house, close to everything they need and have a young community at their doorstep.

Lalor as a suburb is almost dead.

I don’t agree with that. It’s significantly closer to the city and arterial roads.

Reservior is slowly going from an aging area to younger families, Thomastown as well.

It goes in cycles 👍

Agree, I think these suburbs will come back eventually to have more families its what seems to happen in many others, may not be for a few years but bound to happen.

A lot of concern for juniors here. Why don't the people in this forum start a non for profit community organisation that helps gets kids connected to struggling local junior clubs?

Well here goes
Laurimaur 14 wins
Kinglake 13 wins &%
Mernda 13 wins
Eltham 9 wins &%
West 9 wins

Or could all be wrong 😉
There's some big games coming up in the next few weeks, don't think the order of the top 5 is set yet, bit to play out. there's some teams who going to come to play, it's one of he better draws going into the end of a season.
