We know that all these young blokes think they are better than what they are. Once reality hits them between the eyes they take the easy option.Surely that can’t be true
In time everyone finds his/her level in sport. Sometimes the individual is correct, sometimes they are not.We know that all these young blokes think they are better than what they are. Once reality hits them between the eyes they take the easy option.
To the people who had Lalor last and bagged that they wouldn’t finish top 4,I think you need to seriously reconsiderJust a joke, got a lot of pumping up for some accounts on this forum.
Lalor do have 6ft 11 Dev Pretty to come in ,been injured and will play ressies one game then into the OnesIt's an outstanding effort from all involved at Lalor and congratulations to all the volunteers and staff who have seen a win for their efforts thus far. When you consider the commentary around they should merge, fold, the imbalance they make on the draw, etc and they put out a performance like that to get a win - then well done Bloods. I am sure calm heads at Lalor would have enjoyed the win immensely on Saturday, but will have them focused again on the next opportunity.
A tight game between West and Ivanhoe, OP's knock off Stars and the Lalor win makes Division 3 a great division to be a part of right now. Things get interesting as the weather changes, injuries impact and sides learn more about each other, but enjoying the close nature of most of the games in the competition.
In saying that ...... Mernda v Epping / West at home to Lakers / Kilmore v OP's up the hume look great match ups this week - huge!
I think the reconsideration should be around where some people viewed Kilmore. A fair bit of soul searching going on this week I think. To the people who had Lalor last and bagged that they wouldn’t finish top 4,I think you need to seriously reconsider
They beat kilmore who are most likely a bottom 4 if not bottom 3 team. Will eat my words if they beat a finals contenderTo the people who had Lalor last and bagged that they wouldn’t finish top 4,I think you need to seriously reconsider
Rnd 4They beat kilmore who are most likely a bottom 4 if not bottom 3 team. Will eat my words if they beat a finals contender
Stars easyRnd 4
Stars by 60 over Resa
Mernda by 12 over Epping
Heidelberg West by 5 over Kinglake
Old Paradians by 36 over Kilmore
Old Eltham by 45 over Lalor
Looking like Mernda and Eltham are the stand outs. Big wins for Kilmore, West and Stars on the rebound. Some fair ins for Fitzroy stars. 2 VFL listed players and a club legend.
I saw the first half of West and Kinglake so no idea on Epping but I suspect Hoes have got a big task ahead next week against Mernda who must be firming to be in the play off. What happened to Epping? Expected a better showing than that
How do you lose to Lalor and then beat Parade?
Great bounce back by Kilmore.
Kilmore desperately need Ben Barton to return. Maybe Irons and Jackson need to reconsider their decision to play reserves football
There are some very big games next week. 3 games that could look hard to pickI saw the first half of West and Kinglake so no idea on Epping but I suspect Hoes have got a big task ahead next week against Mernda who must be firming to be in the play off.
Leigh Irons and his family and supportive friends are one of the best things to happen to the Kilmore FNC. Along with the coach Paul Derrick and his family and support crew, the Kilmore FNC is in good hands for years to come.Old fella happy in his new role coaching.
Well respected down there and will turn into a great coach of senior footy one day wherever that may be if he wants to go that path.
Agree that Mernda and Turtles look like early club house leaders so far along with a full Stars team. Throw a blanket over 4 or 5 other teams after that.I saw the first half of West and Kinglake so no idea on Epping but I suspect Hoes have got a big task ahead next week against Mernda who must be firming to be in the play off.
Had an easy draw playing 3 sides who didn’t play finals last year and Ivanhoe. This is a strange call after a loss to Kilmore. When is Gilmore back for OP? If they make finals and he is playing, he could single handedly carry them across the line he is that good. And it’s not just his talent, it’s his leadership, experience and the confidence he inspires in this teammates.
Strange call? Gilmore is arguably the best player in the whole comp not just Div 3…Had an easy draw playing 3 sides who didn’t play finals last year and Ivanhoe. This is a strange call after a loss to Kilmore.
I’ll be interested to see how they go against Mernda, Old Eltham and Epping.
I find it hard to believe 2 players is the difference between losing to Kilmore (who got beaten by lalor 7 days prior) and winning the flag.Strange call? Gilmore is arguably the best player in the whole comp not just Div 3…
Fair to say he would changes any teams fortunes when he plays and if he and his brother were playing yesterday they would have won..
Suppose we will have to wait and see although the Turtles and Mernda look the goods, but only early.I find it hard to believe 2 players is the difference between losing to Kilmore (who got beaten by lalor 7 days prior) and winning the flag.
