Really?

Tell me another player who was leading every individual award the competition has to offer until their home and away season was ended prematurely, and yet they still performed well enough to finish a close second and third in all of them, in only their second season?

Go.
We’ve been through this.
Tony Liberatore won a Brownlow at 37 games.
Let it go mate.

There’s a new Collingwood saying now…

If you’re at a pub talking to some deranged, one eyed imbecile Pie fan who honestly believes with all his drunken heart that Nikki is the greatest Collingwood player of all time ( even better and tougher than Gavin Brown ) ..the you’ve been “ fadged “

Is your database corrupted again? Bunton won two Brownlows in his first two seasons. And then when he went to the WAFL (after a third Brownlow) and won two Sandovers in his first two seasons.

The fadgelow - the award you win for being the best player in the comp anointed by your fellow Collingwood supporters, whilst not winning an actual award

Its when they start adding things like Anzac medals into the list of achievements it's where it gets embarrassing.

Oh yeah! The ever-so legendary Anzac Day medal.

You know... sometimes I have stopped to think how the likes of Dustin Martin, Lance Franklin or Patrick Dangerfield have never won this at their peak.

I mean surely, they should have done so at least once. 🤔

GAS never won a flag, won a NS, only 1 BNF, 4 AA ( a lot less than other players), and yes 3 coleman, but would be in everyone's top 10 GOAT discussions
GAS was in the VFL team of the year 4 times as well and it wasn't published in a season he was just as good.

So in reality in the best 22 in the league (and best for position) 9 times.

Never polled well in B&F and Brownlow etc though. We had a bunch of good midfielders but still.

Presented and hosted by Edwardo McGuire to an audience of 5.

That being namesake Fadge and a few of his bigfooty mates.

I think BT can do a Roving Brian segment during this televised event just to add to the stupidity of this non awards night
It’s highly likely too that Nicky would turn up to accept the Fadgelow. Because lord knows he loves a media interview and any opportunity to talk about himself.

The actual award ceremony would go for 20 minutes with McGuire crapping on for 18 of that ..followed by two hours of Brian asking Nick inane questions written in crayon and put forward by Fadge and his mates.

You responded to a post I had referencing 'second season' with a reference to a player who didn't debut until he was 20 1/2, for whom it took 5 seasons to play their first 37 games and was 24 years old when he won his Brownlow?

It was his second season in seniors.
He won a Brownlow in 37 games.
Simple.

Facts are facts bud
Daicos cannot be the best second year player, there are already players more decorated inside 50 games.
It’s gone past him already

Um, it was actually his 5th season in the seniors, after debating as a 20.5 year old.

2nd season.... 5th season... what's three seasons difference between friends?

But yeah, 'facts'.

Daicos has played 51 games
Libba won the Brownlow in 37 games
Simple
Daicos cannot be the best second year player, he’s playing his third and collected a rising star award.

Did you even put Peter Daicos in your 50?
He doesn’t kick that goal against west coast you don’t make the GF.
Right foot banana in the left pocket goes through on the full.
You don’t win that game it would have been quite a long time between drinks wouldnt it.

GOAT…geez
It’s just jealousy because of the attention the most decorated GF preformed has received.
Let’s see how he goes next 5 games.

So no acknowledgement of you incorrect 'facts'?
This thread isn’t about me.
I just put forward an argument with facts to support the proposition.

Daicos cannot be the best 2nd year player.
It’s gone past him.

Maybe people shouldn't mention Norm Smith Medals either, because like ANZAC Day Medals, players from teams like Carlton don't have the opportunity to win them either...
Norm smith medals are part of the grand final where every team has the opportunity to participate.
Anzac medals are a fabrication of an award where only the 2 same teams participate each year and players from 16 other sides have no opportunity.
It's a bit of a difference dontyathink ?

But it doesn't fit Fadges criteria . He meant best 2nd year player, not best 2nd year player over the age of 19.
It doesn't suit his argument

By the time this year plays out, Sheezel will likely be the best 19 year old to have played the game, certainly eclipsing Nicki's 19 year old year

But, Nicki could is probably the best 2nd year player to have an older brother and father to have played for the same team

Who did you rank ahead of N.Daicos last year? Who do you currently rank ahead of Sheezel?

It's probably easiest to do it that way.
