The length of this thread for a player hardly into his career epitomizes the Victorian centricity of bigfooty.

Imagine if Naicos played for GWS, Gold Coast or Brisbane. His name barely be mentioned on the main board.

If Nikos played for any team not supported by Fadge he would barely get mentioned on the main board. Other than getting called out for constantly squibbing it that is. :)

Given Fadge’s love I imagine that he’ll imagine Nicki as pushing top 20 by the end of the season (i.e. expect Fadge to be ticking multiple players off each round).
He probably has him sitting at number 51 right now . He won't even set the parameters and let us know what they are. It might be, if he takes a contested mark, that will move him up to inside the top 50 perhaps.

Its his only viable position, a non-existent defensive HB
He does play that position better in my opinion.
Problem is they don't have Adams there getting the hard ball in congestion, and with Mitchell and pendlebury getting slower , the clearance rate will suffer unless someone is prepared to dig in and get dirty

What on earth do you think the parameters are?

I have list my personal list of the top 50 footballers to have ever played the game at VFL/AFL level.

Once he (in my view) overtakes each of those players, the list will be updated...

AFL official player ratings:

N Daicos 2022 averaged 9.87
H Sheezel 2023 averaged 10.24

So yeah the experts who guess might have rated Daicos better but the experts who actually watch every piece of play and tally the value of what the player has contributed rated Sheezel higher of the 2 debut seasons.

The same player ratings that also had Woewoddin no where near a Brownlow in 2000?

Funny how you are happy to use ratings and stats when it suits your agenda but quick to dismiss them when it doesn’t. 🤦‍♀️

You tell us- it's your personal list . * albeit a top 49 footballers coz you have john nicholls in there twice
What does Nick need to do to break into your esteemed list ?

Any truth in the rumour he has demanded another Collingwood player goes and gets the ball after an opposition behind and handballs it backwards to Daicos so he can take the kickins? :)

What's worse is him calling for it from poor ground positions and his teammates actually dish off to him in those poor areas

A HB seagull

My database was corrupted and it reported John Nicholls twice, when the second reference should have been Simon Madden.

It has since been corrected.

Of course he’d get mentioned… by Collingwood fans… telling us how he’d be heading home once his contract was up.
