I had $50 on him @ $4 with Sportsbet on Tuesday. Barring injury it’s money for jam!
He'd be a precocious freak if he was a third year 50 game player playing like he did today. It's a cert.

Even without playing a game yet, I reckon Judd and Selwood are the only first year players of the draft era who were close to being as ready as he looks. - maybe Rowell without the injuries.

I got on at $4.50 the week before that. He must have come in even after the Hawks practice match. Barring injuries my only other concern is the idiots who vote on that award!

It is a worry that a teenager is our best player.
Not when the teenager plays like that. It's not a worry that a teenager played like a seasoned talented pro, it is a worry that many of our mid twenties blokes played like they're teenagers

I suppose you are right. Nick Daicos is our best player but you would expect some experienced players to be on par, though Nick is a freak. Maynard and Moore were shocking today as blokes you would think would be hitting the prime of their careers. Well Brayden will probably get a holiday but Darcy will be retained because of our shortage of key defenders but Fly should shake the prima donna out of him. Crisp was down overall with his kicking a worry. We have a bit of a hole in our mid range players judging by today's effort.

It was just a practice match. Crisp has been one of the most consistent reliable durable players in the whole comp over the last few years and with Darcys injury history they may not want him to go full throttle at this stage. He's not someone who we see go half hearted in matches. I'm not worried about those two at all.

We're basically just a really shallow squad. Need a really lucky year with injuries and we might go alright. An EPL transfer window would be handy too, but alas...

And we don't need to worry about Maynard's form for the next few weeks.

Well watch the ball he bounced in to Elliott on the lead and console yourself with the fact that he isn’t perfect!

Was it a worry for West Coast in 02 when Judd was? Generational players come along once every couple of decades so just sit back and enjoy it (Plugger was the last before Judd to be this good at this age).

The media hype train around JHF is the only way that happens because his real competition in Ward is a little to unfashionable, but yeah I don’t know what I was thinking I meant to did it before the games kicked off when he was $5…

Where's the highlight reel? Either the media department sucks or they're purposely trying to keep focus off him.

Damn we're lucky to have him.

Could be both but more the 1st One

It's a practice match, typically the new kids are busting a gut trying to impress the coach whilst the old stagers are cruising along playing bruise-free footy and trying not to get injured before the real stuff starts.

Interesting that the two blokes who went down injured early for us were two new recruits trying to impress.

Bucks too compared him to Selwood and Judd this morning, talking about the uncanny ability of all three to track the ball as youngsters!! . "Great minds" eh. 😀

As well as the uncanny ability - it's the justified, but audacious levels of confidence that these blokes have entered the system with.

Not bad on his Opposite foot

This is the moment he reminded me of Pendles. Under pressure and had the poise to make that small movement to make his opponents go off their line so he could leisurely stroll out of trouble. You can’t teach that.

Dunno why he reminds us much of Pendles....he's a dead ringer for his dad! (who incidentally had a few moves of his own!)
