Just saw “on the couch” and they showed some terrific footage of Zorko standing still at HF and nick moving into the contest. Ball gets to Zorko….win for Brisbane!!

What terrific footage to explain what Nick does bad.

So my question is this:
Where was Zorko when nick had 12 score involvements?
Where was Zorko when Nick, playing mostly HB, had 4 shots at goal…?

Damn the media can paint any picture they like.

It’s like every oppo supporter going him for pulling out of the contest.
I’m all for going when it’s your turn, but that’s not his go as.a second year player and I challenge any oppo supporter….if nick played for them, to want to use him differently to what we do?!?
It’s a little bizarre in my view.

Edit: on further reflection, the footage they showed was checkers kicking it 30m back from our 50 and crisp dropping the mark….if crisp doesnt drop that..I bet Nick is taking it indies 50…..all whilst Zorko stands at HF!! Bring that on every week if that’s the secret recipe!!

It’s like trains on adjacent platforms traveling in different directions. If you’re looking out the window, you don’t know whether you’re moving or they are…

Maybe Nick was actually still and Zorko was moving away? It’s all relative…

35 possessions a game and 1.5-2 goals per game over a sustained period literally would make him statistically the greatest player of all time.
I’d love for it to happen but I’m just calling it as it is. Unlikely.
I meant as pure peak, not sustained even over a 5 year period. And I'm making that call based not only off his ability, but also due to the changing nature of the game. I said 35 and 1.5-2, but I was more just thinking about GAJ's peak which I knew was around that, but didn't check his exact stats.

Nick is a pig for the ball though, and plays in a higher possession game than when GAJ played, so I genuinely think 35 per game even for a couple seasons is very much doable. He's shown an ability to just go forward and just find space and the ball and get goal kicking opportunities even in juniors. They move him into the midfield and rest him forward, GAJ like, I think he can have multiple 30 goal seasons. All of this is obviously absolute best case scenario of course. It just seems within his wheelhouse given his actual skillset and both what he's shown so far, and maybe some carry on from what he did at junior level where he actually played midfield. It's the main separator from Ashcroft at junior levels, their numbers were so similar, but Ashcroft was the better contested player, Nick was much more damaging with his ability to consistently kick goals.

Nick is just a freak. If the umpires notice him he’ll be racking in the brownlow votes.
I think they definitely do. Everyone besides oppo fans (i.e., media, oppo players, coaches) think he's unreal

He’s just a freak.

Anyone got footage of when he turned a whole bunch of them inside out, then passed the ball out wide to the wing (towards the camera). It was next level.

My rugby following mate who was watching with me (who doesn’t know that much about afl) said that he’s on the next level to everyone else on the field.
