Imo he is waisted off half back they should have him as a half forward who plays as an extra mid, need creative and clean players to help that ratchet part of the ground masquerading as a forwardline.

What too many don't truly understand is as far as playing experience is concerned Nick is actually 2 years behind his interstate peers.

He lost the best part of two years playing experience and pre seasons due to covid.

The potential with some solid conditioning and an unrestricted flow of games is WOW.

In 2 games against sides that will probably be top 4, he's had 26 disposals @ 73.1% and 27 disposals @ 70.4%

And he's only going to get better

The hype was indeed real and having watched his old man from the start I feel Nick moves just slightly better than Snr even at this early stage.

Snr was explosive but Nick is deceptively smooth - he has that Pendlebury smoothness, vision and poise and he is covering way more ground than he seems to be.

Current? Current is tricky. I reckon once he's a full-time midfielder he'll be very reminiscent of GAJ. He will be a more damaging goal-kicker than Pendlebury, and Pendlebury is quite a lot bigger.

It's a hard comparison to find I think. Maybe Ben Cousins - but I think he'll be more incisive.

It is very tricky. From memory, Cousins had more linebreaking running ability (perhaps chemically enhanced ) while Nick seems to be more creative by hand than I remember Cousins being.
