I wouldn't worry about it. They have to be careful not to do unduly rough tackles these days.Nick is too small to play pure midfield ATM.
Too easily pushed off the line of the ball (see 2nd and 3rd qtr of ANZAC Day)
+ Can be hurt dumped in a tackle.
Developing nicely off Half Back, and within the next 12-18 months he'll have the body ready to go to be a pure mid.
I've seen 2-3 times players attempt to do it to him this season and Nick has won free kicks from it.I wouldn't worry about it. They have to be careful not to do unduly rough tackles these days.
Agreed with the hacks and that points to deliberately team planned physical assault - it's a dark road to head down for any sport.I've seen 2-3 times players attempt to do it to him this season and Nick has won free kicks from it.
+ these days the hacks in teams are doing the dirty stuff, see Jemaine Jones tackle on Eliott, Mansell elbow on Gin.
Just my opinion I think another 12-18 months of development and then he's a lock in the midfield for the next 10-11 years.
Martin has been insane. Good size for a 21 year-old kid too
Yeah, I think Daicos in two years time will a genuine force to be reckoned withIt's the difference I guess Daicos played about 8 games in2 years leading up the other completed full seasons, Martin also being 21 vs 18/19yo devopment wise is in front.
Daicos in 2 years time will be competing for brownlows. And I’m not even joking like I normally would be with a statement like that about a first year player.Yeah, I think Daicos in two years time will a genuine force to be reckoned with
Yeah, he's a legit chance at finishing top 5 in our B&F in his first season. That's no jokeDaicos in 2 years time will be competing for brownlows. And I’m not even joking like I normally would be with a statement like that about a first year player.
Depends on the criteria. I reckon Ginnivan might be more important for us at this stage, but Daicos is clearly a better player, which is likely to remain the case.Has Ginnivan gone past him in the race for the Rising Star award?
Noticed Again Today how Badly Nick's gets Ignored by his Teammates
Runs to Good Spots but Teammates don't give it to him
Plus he is getting 20 uncontested possessions a game. Don't think he's being ignored that much.Good thing is it doesn’t stop him presenting. Footy sometimes requires players to make multiple leads that go unrewarding. That sort of sacrificial running opens opportunity for team mates.
Everyone should know by now RS is more a curse I hope he doesn’t win it lol.
No current season stats available
Luke Jackson is a very good prospect, who will hopefully break the curse, but he ain't close to being a star yet.I think Sam Walsh and Luke Jackson broke that curse

Cripps before them too.I think Sam Walsh and Luke Jackson broke that curse
Hasn't been as great recently, but Bucks, Selwood, Riewoldt and Goodes had passable careers.Cripps before them too.
Mate, you need to pay attention, he’s the absolute runaway favourite for the Brownlow right now. Completely dominating.Hasn't been as great recently, but Bucks, Selwood, Riewoldt and Goodes had passable careers.

He’s averaging 29 disposals, 5 tackles and nearly 2 goals a game this year…
Sorry - I meant the Rising Stars haven't been as great recently. Cripps is a superstar.Mate, you need to pay attention, he’s the absolute runaway favourite for the Brownlow right now. Completely dominating.

Cripps signs a long term deal, hits form again. Hmmm…
