And he'll have to get a car to the airport.Plane crash less risk than car crash but still he'd be in the air longer than on the road.
Looks like he will be battling for the award with Jai Newcombe from the Hawks who has been very impressive as well. Had a great game tonight again off half back, pushing up to stoppages and did not fumble in the wet and hardly made any mistakes. Love his skills and composure, later in the year should get some exposure at more centre bounces.
Happy for Newcombe to win it
Don’t think coming second to Stevo has affected Aaron Naughton’s career
Some people never grow up and Stevo is looking like one of those.Nick is not Immature like Stephenson is
I reckon Dad would keep both the boys very grounded.Nick is not Immature like Stephenson is
He gets pushed off the ball too easily in any other role atm, half back is where he can collect easy possessions and start all pur attacks. It’s his best role atm.He conceded a few key goals in last quarter
Might be time to bin the back pocket experiment
I like that he’s down there crafting a defensive side. Keep him there imo.He conceded a few key goals in last quarter

With the first one, he would be expected to zone off and allow that kick to 40 out on the boundary. Saad was good enough to hit Owies and Owies was good enough to convert. You wear that. With the second one, the ball came in with a heap of space in front of Owies - no one is stopping that very often. Those goals were not a big deal against Daicos at all. Those goals are not all on ND. They’re goals the team concedes. There isn’t a player in the team who’ll win every contest. Can’t think of any in any team. A couple of goals isn’t that great an impost in a development year.
Moore and Wingard will go to Nick and the Hawks will use them. This is the best part of the AFL; you are up against a team of opposition coaches, looking for the weakness of all 22 members of the opposition. He conceded a few key goals in last quarter
Might be time to bin the back pocket experiment
For a young kid who had played 11 games in his first year and commands the ball, reckon he’ll be alright

Nothing at all wrong with footy Gaff has produced but i think ND is a significantly better 2 sided player than Gaff, has a few more tricks and seems to have superior spatial awareness.I think he'll end up like a slightly faster Andrew Gaff.
Yeah much more talented than Gaff - who is a very good footballer.Nothing at all wrong with footy Gaff has produced but i think ND is a significantly better 2 sided player than Gaff, has a few more tricks and seems to have superior spatial awareness.

Totally agree VP.ND’s awareness is striking. Watching him live he’s always working, getting to the right spot, offering an option to escape or knowing where the next best placed player is and hitting him up. And this all happens at speed. We know that can’t be taught - it’s innate.
Edit: I’m not sure his teammates are fully utilising him yet. But that will come.
You mean Motlop?Totally agree VP.
Also, he totally surprised me with his pace in the 1st qtr.
The one where he beat Pickett (and others) to the ball, out-willed and outran him.
Selling him way short. His spacial awareness, disposal and decision making are elite already, once he puts on some muscle like Josh, he’ll play on ball and comfortably be one of if not the top mid in the league.I think he'll end up like a slightly faster Andrew Gaff.
