His composure under the most intense pressure is a sight to behold. The way Noble and Nick ran the pill out with Demon forwards hot on their tails was simply brilliant. Their composure at such a young age gives me great confidence about our long term future. Josh was fantastic in the last term too. How glorious to see that familiar Daicos move, low to the ground as he turns and prepares to kick deep into the forward line?
That specific play dazzled me as well. I knew he was good, but when I saw that I really began to understand just how damaging ND could be

Just like his old man, we have a generational player here and just like his old man he will razzle/dazzle us all for the next decade. Josh won’t be too far behind him btw. They will torment sides for many years together.
And the cream on top of that is both seem well rounded, respectful and humble individuals in their own right. Even with how good they already are and probably will become in future.

Poor Nick was slung around the neck and spun 720° on the ground by a Ben Brown tackle. Many things I'd get tutored by Nick but not getting tackled :)
Was impressed with Brown being immediately apologetic for that. Seems like a good bloke.

He’s one of the nice guys of the AFL. Happy for him that he got a flag after being treated so poorly by Norf when he’d given them so many years of top shelf service.

This kid is stupidly good. We knew he was going to be a star, but he's exceeded my expectations. I'm in awe.

Cool, calm and collected, reminds me of prime Luke Hodge playing that role off half back. Then the agility, quick feet and burst of speed, reminds me of prime GAJ.

I don't think I've been this excited about a Pies player for a very long time. He's going to be the best player in the AFL in a few years.

Still getting nothing from the media, today was the first real time I heard Garry Lyon single him out and talk about how good he was.

Rowell and the jizz fest we saw in 2020 for the first 6 games, he had 26 touches once and kicked 6 goals 3 bags of 2.

Averaged a mark a game and had more tackles.

Daicos has averaged more disposals, marks, higher disposal efficiency and done it for longer.

Yeah they played different positions but what this kids doing in a winning team is freak worthy instead you'll have David King (yeah I hope you read this) bang on about a 13 possession game from Newcombe because clearly he has money on him.

Daicos dead set should be 1,30 for the Rising Star.

Nick having 1 of the Best Rookie Seasons every but Idiots in the Media Refuse to Acknowledge it

Kane Cornes singled him out the previous week talking about how good he is and in his eyes the favourite for Rising Star.

Hypothetical, (Not that we would ever) who would you trade Nick for right now? Any player in the league?

Max King. Can't think of too many others. That kind of decision making and ball use is just so hard to find, very few have the combo. Like Pendles isn't a brilliant kick, he is a brilliant decision maker.

Young Nick is handling his rookie year with poise and calm.

He really doesn't look terribly fast because his movement is so smooth - on top of this his first 3 steps after receiving the ball - for himself or from a team mate - are electric.

Vision - his vision in a pack situation is x-ray rated - he just pierces the pack visually and eyes the team mate with the best position to receive even while gathering the ball and taking a balancing step.

He just needs to make his disposals a fraction lower and a fraction faster and he will have opposition coaches tearing their hair out in chunks as his old man used to.
