Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

It didn't look good. If he's not out for the season he'll definately miss the first few.

If this is the case then Mattner looks like a very good pickup.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

Absolutely feel for Sydney supporters. Malcheski, a really great player. Hope to see him back fully fit in 09!

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

As a Brisbane supporter, I know how gutting practice match ACL injuries are (Hadley x 2, Garner X 2, Bradshaw etc)...

Feel for you guys.

Malceski is a class act and seems like a good bloke too. Not fair.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

L I V I D

Roos had big plans for him through the middle this yr and now Mattner's inclusion is meaningless.

Not really meaningless, the Malceski injury would hurt you more if he wasn't there.

Been impressed with Mattner so far. Was played out of position at the Crows... will go well at Sydney.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

That's a real blow for the swans, Malceski is one of their most talented and valuable players. Let's hope it's not as bad as originally thought.

deleted response to a rubbish post - MD

You're obviously a fan of Malceski, and IMO it's really bad news for the club, and one of the worst if not the worst player for you guys to get an injury to. Would have got an AA last year if he had been a more prominant name, and was starting to really blossom. Hopefully, this doesn't lead to a line of recurring injuries (ala Brown) and he's able to recover really quickly.

The worst thing about it was that there didn't look to be much in it, so hopefully for the Swans it isn't as bad as first thought.

Pretty sick thing to say the Swans were "due for injuries". You never want someone to go down with an injury as it will often ruin careers.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

Sydney got an injury?!?!? are you series?

No sorry, that was harsh. I feel for the guy and i know it would be shattering to have a such a quality player out for so long so early. It's frustrating, but it's football and sometimes the luck goes your way, and sometimes not.

Cheers mate:thumbsu:

I won't be too shattered until I get confirmation but it doesn't look good.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

Their miracle injury run seems to have come to an end, about time too. Hate the swans with a passion. Bad luck for the bloke, its never good. But on a team level im glad beacuse the swans have done very little in the way of blooding youngsters the last few years, so hopefully their lack of depth gets exposed.
Thrillhou , Not even worth commenting on.

Hate anything happening to any player let alone a furture champion like Melceski. Hope it turns out ok guys.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

Hopefully, it's not as bad as feared. Terrible news for Malceski if it is an ACL - real shame.

I can't believe that some posters would get any delight whatsoever from a player being injured regardless of who it is or what club they play for. poor form.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

Damn shame.

It's his second ACL aswell. I'm not sure which knee he did the first time though.

Hopefully he's back to his best by 2010 because ACL's are a 2 year injury.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

I am a Hawthorn supporter and cannot believe the disgraceful comments coming from some of our supporters, and they wonder why they have been abused and ridiculed during the off-season.

Firstly, an absolute shame to see Malceski go down, with what looks to be a serious knee injury. He had a fantastic season last year and is a key for the Swans. Terrible news.

Secondly, fellow supporters, what exactly do we have to be arrogant about???

Today, although, just a NAB cup game, we showed absolutely NOTHING. Some young guys showed some good things BUT Clarkson continues to persist with a pathetic game plan. We had a forward line of talls, playing on an under 23 side and continued to use Tim Clarke as a hit up CHF.

Best of luck to the Swans for the remainder of the year and hopefully Malceski can come back strong.

To my supporters, you may need to think twice before posting the majority of the stuff you write, as most of the time it is just useless and pathetic ignorant dribble. Be arrogant when we start winning games, or even a premiership.

Re: Nick Malcheski- ACL

I feel sorry for him. It doesn't look good. To be fair, the Swans have been pretty good with injuries, so this may be the only injury for the year.
