I'm buying it for the great exclusives down the track. Had the money and EB are doing a good trade in deal for a console that I have no fondness for. I do agree though that many won't be buying it just for Zelda at the moment.

Man the controllers are small, people with big hands are definitely going to need the pro controller.

Pro controller feels just like an Xbox controller in your hands so that's a big tick from me.

Must say I'm really impressed with the Pro Controller way better then the Wii U one and feels more like an Xbox controller

After today's Nintendo Switch day one update, SD card support and online features have both become enabled on the new console, but game saves can only be stored on the console's 32GB internal storage, with no apparent option to transfer them.

thats a pretty big omission

At lunch I played BOTW on tabletop with a joy-con in each hand, was perfectly fine playing it that way, never had an issue with it so good chance ill play that way more often if I get tired of holding the whole thing

Well in this case it's a bit different because if we post anything positive you label us as fan boys, but if you post anything negative and we question it we're being unreasonable.

You can always question criticism or optimism. There is a key segment of people that have been posting nothing but sugar and rainbows. Eventually, these posts stack up and people stop listening to those posters. Probably in a similar way that anyone who is on the super optimistic side of the fence stopped listening to Pants and Quiv a long time ago.

Exactly. The notion of ignoring glaring faults for whatever reason is strange and bemusing. I have enjoyed some deeply flawed games this generation (namely Destiny and Mirror's Edge), but I am aware of the faults within them and don't shy away from them. Same with calling out Sony for taking 3 and a half years to introduce external HD support.

For pretty much everyone that bought a Switch today the pros outweighed the cons and that's fine. I hope that you all enjoy your console, I look forward to the feedback.

Loving it so far. I've tried docked with the grip, docked with the pro and handheld and they're all comfortable. (I have small hands so that might help.) The tablet screen is super sharp and playing Zelda handheld is a joy.

Was just in Big W, had about ten on the counter, all available, I certainly thought about it but just couldn't bring myself to purchase it for one game.

I was tempted by the Wii and Wii U but never actually made a purchase.

For all of the hype of the released Zelda, future Mario platformer, Mario Kart etc.............. the game that might see me get a Switch is the Ultra Street Fighter II release coming in May .

Interested for more titles to come out and how they go about optimisation, hand held runs miles better than docked for Zelda... Makes sense too, considering docked is the same hardware outputting at a higher resolution. So devs will be choosing between optimising for 720P or 900P/1080P... Honestly wish they'd optimise it for the higher resolution so we get smoother performance in both modes. Graphically it isn't going to stack up to the other consoles so why not just make sure things run well?

Mine was struggling, rebooted the modem and seems to have sorted it.
