As late as they can possibly get away with. Way too many variables with that virus thing.

I don’t have a link but a previous Sarah Black article said that there might be a partial AFLW fixture release rather than a full 9 rounds. An article last week indicated that the men’s comp could also do similar

It could be very soon but I also think post men’s draft (Dec 9) but pre Christmas is possible.

It is likely to get bundled with the men’s fixture release which is usually done shortly after trade week.

Newly appointed North Melbourne VFLW senior coach, Marcus Abney-Hastings, has advised the club he will pursue an alternative opportunity within the AFLW.

“It’s a disappointing result but we wish Marcus all the best for the next chapter,” North AFLW operations manager Nathan Hrovat said.

“We’ve already started the search for his replacement which we will announce in due course.”

The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have appointed Cheyne Webster as their VFLW senior coach for 2021.

Familiar with the Kangaroos AFLW program, Webster joined the Kangaroos in 2019 as a development coach, overseeing the Individual Player Development programs.

“We endeavour to be a club that can develop people from within our program and Cheyne is an example of that,” North AFLW coach Darren Crocker told North Media.

“Cheyne's commitment to our women's program is unquestionable, putting in the time and effort to support not only our players but also develop his coaching.

“Cheyne's duties will now primarily sit in the VFLW program while still having involvement in our AFLW program.”

Meanwhile, Natasha Hardy will move into a newly created position as AFLW head of development while Zac Read joins the coaching team as AFLW development coach.

“Tash has been incredibly impressive since she started in our program and will now oversee the development of our players including the implementation of Individual Development Programs and Athlete Development Programs,” Crocker said.

“She will also maintain her role as VFLW assistant coach, in support of Cheyne.

“We welcome Zac to our AFLW coaching ranks, who has only recently stepped away from his senior coaching role at the Western Jets in the NAB League, where he was for the past two seasons.

“He is extremely familiar and an integral part of North Melbourne, having worked at the club since 2013 in the club’s community arm, The Huddle, as the schools and community engagement manager.

“We are excited to welcome Zac to our coaching team, who will also be an assistant coach in our VFLW program.”

Sort of.

We also have Garner who is our female version of Garner except she gets on the park and wins awards.
That would mean that Garner is not our female version of Garner because Garner doesn't miss a game while Garner is always out injured.

In brighter news for our Tasmanian contingent, it's good to see the likes of Bresnehan and Mia King partaking in mainland sessions from the get-go. I know it was always the plan for this season but, needless to say, what are plans worth in this day and age.
