England have short memories. They dismissed Colin De Grandhomme in very similar circumstances at Lord’s just last year. Hypocrites.

Colin de Grandhomme out of Lord's test after horror day for Black Caps against England

Coming to the crease after the dismissal of century-maker Daryl Mitchell with the tourists 251-5, de Grandhomme was struck on the pad by a delivery from Stuart Broad which prompted a loud lbw appeal.

Umpire Rod Tucker ruled the NZ batter not out but de Grandhomme had left his crease as he looked to see what the decision was, and Ollie Pope quickly grabbed the ball which had run towards the slips and threw down the wickets at the batter’s end.

De Grandhomme was out of his ground, with confirmation from the TV umpire, meaning NZ had lost two wickets in as many balls.

Sad, sad day for Australian cricket. If they want to stoop to that level to win the ashes they can shove them up their arses. Lowest act I have seen in 46 ashes of watching ashes cricket. Might of won the match but lost everything else. This will haunt them for a long time just like sandpaper gate did. Win at all costs mentality. No wonder the world despises them as a team. No excuses to stoop to that level.
So, it’s certain that at no point he may have been warned?

And stop using laws as the justification. Sportsmanhip would to to withdraw the appeal which is what every other team would have done except one. Stokes himself said he would have not wanted to win that way and Cummins just sits at the interview like a stunned mullet. No wonder in the interview he was asked about underarming and mankading to win.
Why? He was stumped off a bouncer. I've seen it before

Glad you all like winning that way. The booing and world crickets reaction today says it all.
The only thing that would have made this more satisfying was for Warner to be handed an over a 9 down and dismissing Anderson on a Mankad for the win.

The laws are clear. Stay behind the chalk, champ.

And for those who keep harping on about Starc catch that was completely different. That was not about a team making a decision to win a game at all costs with no regards to the spirit of cricket or sportsmanship. With Bairstow the umpire was about to hand the cap back to the bowler and the square leg had started to walk in. Bairstow scratches the pitch and started to walk up the pitch for a chat and the stumps got thrown down. Then after a period of time to withdraw the appeal it wasnt. Think about it.

Totally different. Thats the batsmen still in process of the ball being bowled not walking up a pitch thinking the ball is dead

Both Bairstow and Carey took the ball and instantly through it at the stumps. One batsmen was on the ball, the other off with the fairies.
