Good ol fashioned test cricket. Also, likely a realiisation that with no moeen ali english quicks will tire quicker than usual, and since the full flood lights were put up at noon it will probably be 30+ overs where england are told theyy arent even allowes to bowl fast.

there was one time during commentary yesterday that made me chuckle

dunno which pom it was but he was suggesting that the change in bowling tactic had come from the coach during a drinks play and then immediately went to a line of questioning like "are they too reliant on the coach to tell them this", so going immedialtey negative, and tubbs just basically went "dunno, don't care, anyway that was a great wicket"
