I saw a tweet of Stuart Broads final column as a cricketer. The blokes headline was "I have given cricket everything I have and I wanted to go out on top". He knows they're about to, at best, draw an Ashes series right? They're not the world test champions, they have beaten us in this series exactly once and they won't earn the Ashes ... What top is he talking about
I watched an interview so it’s clear he means he wants to retire while he is still playing well, and not wait to get pushed out. Good for him. He gets a proper farewell as a result.

On the game, I hadn’t really twigged until I read it this morning but this pitch has been prepared for low risk last innings batting (which they assumed would be England). Would be shameful and disappointing etc etc etc if Australia is denied a win because of rain.

That's at the heart of Bazzball, the pitch needs to be flat as a shit carters hat. That is also the bit that doesn't get mentioned. Although Bumble mentioned it. I like Bumble.
Anderson who has 690 dismissals to his name has only taken 5 wickets this series. WTF! Feel for Boland as well.
Also through sheer bad luck we've batted in the worst of the conditions through out the series.

But we could win it 3 - 1 and lol.

What was the reason? Just 3 overs. Is he likely to bowl at all on the final day?
Butcher said they were waiting for the ball to get worn on one side of ball - so he could come on and get reverse swing.
He hit Uzzie on the helmet and a chip must of come out of the ball - they changed the ball and it was much harder than the previous one

Our bowlers have taken some stick but at least they bowl their overs with whatever ball is available.

If this pair can put on another 30-40 I'd strongly consider batting Head or Marsh at three.
