No.1 player in the game?

To qualify as the the No1 Player in the game you would have to have everything...the full package be it Talent, Skill, Speed, Agility, Toughness, decision maker, game buster, game breaker and beat opponent after opponent and have a well balanced temperament. No-one has all this but the closest to it has to be Franklin, with Judd next and Ablett 3rd.

Based on 2007 and 2008, I cannot fathom how Judd is considered greater than Ablett.

Judd is still one of the best, however if Ablett won back to back Brownlow's in 2007 and 2008, no one would complain.

Chris Judd ... In 09 he will show just why I am right. Too soon you all forget how good he is, and the jealous facrot of Carlton getting him means people underrate him

Anyways, any poll that has Richo with more votes than Pav and Roo (or Hodge pav, or Roo/Hodge etc) combined has 0 credibility anyways, lol.. yeah, a great year, better than those 3? LOL, no.

How can Nick Reiwoldt even be considered. There are a few more people that deserve to get a notice. Simon Black is a quite acheiver although he is getting older he has been runner up in the brownlow the past 2 years and is a better footballer than reiwoldt

lol, so you think it's impossible to have a no1 player?, someone has to be:thumbsu:

No he was carrying injuries from rd19, and the last two games was restricted with a hand injury as well as the quad injury. A reasonably fit Franklin towelled up Scarlett in Rd17.

Well I heard a rumour that in Rd16 Scarlett had his spinal cord and played the rest of the year out as a paraplegic.

If he was fit enough to play then injuries are not an excuse 1 all head to head.

Ablett/Franklin were the standouts last year and with both being <25 we have a few more years of viewing enjoyment left :)

My top 8

1: James Bartel- clearly num 1- won the brownlow last year by that far
2: Dean Cox- Best ruckman in the game,
3: Jonathon Brown- A powereful half forward/ forward, who has strong hands.
4: Joel Corey- Highest average possession winner
5: Cameron Ling, best tagger in the game, shuts down good quality players.
6: Chris Judd- A speedy player who wins a lot of clearances.
7: Luke Hodge
8: Chance Bateman

the reason why g.a, isn't in the top 8
Gary Ablett got as many brownlows votes as a 32 year old, and the 32 year old is almost in retirement. ablett is Overated only because he didn't win the brownlow.

This just has to be a joke post. It has to be... otherwise humanity may as well give up now.

How the hell can you base your argument on the Brownlow?

It might be just because i don't like Franklin because he dominates us every time, he is certainly up there but i have him at #2. The most underrated player in the game is my number one in Matthew Pavlich. Absolute gun, absolute superstar, there is nothing he can't do, no defender can stop him, then when the team is getting killed he goes in the midfield and wins it every time and hits the post from 60m. He, one on one, is unstoppable.

Nathan Brown toweled him up in his first ever AFL game if I remember right

Im gonna say Joel Corey of Geelong purely based on the fact of his consistency in high averages of disposals and class week in and week out. I also believe ablett is up there with him. Legend of the game.
