The Bumrah delivery that clean bowled Konstas probably would have clean bowled Bradman too. What a ridiculously skilled bowler he is.
The difference in pitches is making him single handidly the difference between them 0-3 in India against NZ and in with a shot down here. They legit need to start producing fast decks over there. What an incredible performance.

Bumrah has a very odd bowling action that our batters can't pick. He's destroyed us.

We're done.
It’s not Bumrah’s action that’s caused us problems. It’s the line he bowls. That has highlighted the poor footwork of the majority of Australian batsmen who have made careers out of having excellent eyes but don’t move their feet well at all.

Our batsman all seem to have funky stances and movements, which can work on flat decks, but not when the ball is seaming around. Indians seem to have side on stances, which gives them a better chance of surviving on these wickets. Good bowling is good bowling, and the bowlers have excelled this series, but at least give yourself a chance. Marnus looking more and more like Smith at the crease. Having said that, he is currently 60 and we need him to ton up

Aust win this test they should get a bronze cast of Jaiswals hands made for the MCG long room.

I'm wondering if he will be dropped himself for the Sydney test if Australia can win this test, even scoring 80 odd in the first innings. The captain is pretty emotional

How demoralising that last session was for India.

Didn’t love their captain’s reaction to the dropped catch. Jaiswal may have a pretty tough sleep.
There is some bad juju going on in that team.
Kholi being an arseh*le.
The captain berating the young gun.
The wicket keeper pant arguing with the cap.

By not declaring till 10 minutes before play is scheduled we can control the amount the pitch is rolled.

We may also want to take 4 or 5 overs out of the game on the basis that India may be more likely to shut up shop needing 334+ off 93- as opposed to 334 off 97 and that them defending presents a better balance of risk than them attacking and potentially getting the runs*: Since we really would like a win, but we definitely can't lose (or we can't regain the trophy).

Essay aside I think the former is more likely. Depends what they think of the look of the deck in the morning I suppose.

*Whereas they will likely find it difficult to bat out a draw on that deck which to my mind has deteriorated enough. 9 for 228 batting for 82 overs for us today. Ball seamed until the 65th over and started reversing at the end. Pitch up and down a bit. Will be slightly harder again tomorrow. This is not Brisbane 2021. Remember we set the target at nearly 4 an over on day 4. As it stands India would need to score at the fast rate since day 2 to win. More I think about it'll be minor miracle if India can do it from here. (I mean 2021 was a minor miracle and that was a better deck).

Great test so far (God damn it).

Can they request the pitch isn't rolled at all, or is there a minimum requirement?

If we don't declare till 10 minutes before the start we will still be 'batting' half an hour before play. Meaning we can request the light roller for the pre play rolling (law 9.1.1 for those playing at home). If we declare over night then India can have it rolled twice by the heavy roller.
