I think it’s worth the risk for them. Gray, Ryder and Boak are all 30 next year, Westhoff has already past that point. There time is now so they may as well have a decent crack at it. No reason why they can’t be premiership contenders next season.

Buckenara was one of the few who recently published an opinion that Stringer was worth more than Essendon were trying to offer. One of the very few.

It would seem that at least some of his analysis is agreeable at any rate.

You know despite beating teams throughout the finals with star players with only Picken being the player who was close to BOG for us in every game. You'd think that he'd back a workhorse team in finals but nope, gotta have stars

One must have enormous amounts of sympathy for the totally swell, salt of the earth, marvelous norf fans who certainly have not kicked other clubs when they’ve been down.
