If he had of left the ground to “make him earn it”, then it’s a whole different story.
Reasonably sure this is in fact what happened and he had plenty of opportunity to do a fly by. Maynard always follows through with contact and this was a rush of blood to the head to start a final.

Not labling him a sniper but what he did was careless.

If anything it was pretty poor from Maynard that he didn’t just flap his arms and continue flying over him.
Pretty much.

Makes me angry that we aren't playing finals & you've got a team with fk all talent in the Saints playing this weekend.

What a waste of a year & looks like the club's doing fk all about it.

"High performance organisation" my ass.
I've watched the only finals game I'm going to watch... last night. Now I couldn't give a fat rat's arse what happens now... well when pushed, I hope Collingwood win it... there is not another team in the eight that I could consider barracking for.

Sydney v Carlton tonight

If the Collingwood player gets off, have they changed the rules again?

I thought off the ground and head contact were an auto suspension

I would say 2 or 3 weeks for Collingwood minus the Collingwood discount of course

Melbourne accidental probably will get more 1 or 2 weeks

I'm not sure if anybody has seen this yet, but will be very interesting when our membership renewals come out... I sit in Boundary Silver reserved seating, and have social club membership, looking on the map i this post, it is called something else, possible by Nrth Melbourne. I hope were don't have to pay up to yet another level for the same seating we have had for 23 years.

It was posted by Chidwiko.

North Melbourne appears to be the first of the Marvel Stadium 'home' teams who has come out with their 2024 membership packages so far, and in doing so they've revealed a pretty crappy situation that is going to impact all teams who play home games at Marvel.

As part of the Marvel Stadium redevelopment project, the Level 2 bays (between 34 - 39~) which were previously available to club members are now being withheld by the AFL for a new 'AFL premium reserved seating' category.

See the NMFC 2024 membership map below:

According to the NMFC membership team member I spoke to, this is impacting all Marvel Stadium home teams.

Anyone (like me) who previously had a reserved seat on the Level 2 wing as part of a premium club membership will now have to relocate, most likely into bays 26-29 behind the goals.

This is crap.

This feels like the AFL once again punting the actual club members at the expense of corporate tickets.
It’s gonna get even funnier because the corps don’t even turn up for our games, so we are just going to have multiple empty unused bays sitting there.

Aaah, a man of my vintage.....

He was also one of the Tarleton twins in Gone With the Wind, I distinctly remember going to the premiere back in 1939 🤪

Do dumb s**t, get punished. He could have avoided contact but chose to be chippy.

Might squirm out of it at tribunal if they have precedents but I doubt it. The John Platten CTE thing has not come at the right time for Maynard unfortunately.

I'm almost inclined to agree with you... until I remember Maynard made contact with a Melbourne player. It's a "not guilty" from me. 😉

I feel sorry for Liam Jones tonight....after all this time & that's what a return of the 'Dogs has given him
