Didn't watch a single second, result is the lesser of 2 evils. Oh, and EAD Dunkleys!
Me either, Geoff. Not a single second.

You missed a terrific GF.

Spoiled by some dubious umpiring decisions (both ways). That will keep Brisbane fans engaged for years if the Swans mob are any guide.

Collingwood are very united and played as a team.
No better exemplified than when Bobby Hill had a set shot from the boundary line and everyone was wondering whether he could kick his fifth. Instead he caught everyone by surprise and kicked a short pass to Pendlebury in a better position. Pendles nailed it.

You can talk about your lists of stars all day long but give me a great TEAM any day.

Sounds like a great game, no doubt. I was out this afternoon with the family. I think team unity is also easier when the players believe in the system. Sadly, I’m not sure our players have since the 2021 GF.

Tbh, since 2016 the only GF I've seen more than a few seconds of was 21 (which I've since erased from my memory after Bont's goal).

As a kid/teen with mates, used to rotate house each year to watch the Friday night GF marathon ("hit the boundary line!" Etc etc), then watch the North breakfast Sat morning, then watch the u19s, reserves and senior GF, someone's Mum supplying party pies and sausage rolls, kick to kick in the street between games. Except for those who were lucky enough to have their team in a GF who would head off to the G first thing Sat morning after no sleep!

Even in our 20s as some started getting married, we'd at least convene around 12pm Sat to watch.
But 2016 changed everything.
I hate having no skin in the game, and watching a bunch of palookas from Richmond, Geelong, etc celebrate another flag.
But I can recite entire pieces of commentary from the 66, 67, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 GFs! 🙂🤔

Is Frampton on the podium holding up a finger a reference to his one tackle?
Naaah. Pretty sure it was a reference to his one effective disposal.

One of the best GF shockers ever played. Andrews got a bit of it but Frampton did his job ... sort of.

Winners are grinners.

Reasons to be cheerful

Dunkley Ready To Use His Strenghts

Josh Dunkley is preparing to shut down either Jordan De Goey or Nick Daicos on Saturday, saying he's done homework on "four or five" Magpies.

Great quality game.

I know there was barely a kick in it all day, but I do genuinely think Collingwood were the better side.

Hill, De Goey, Daicos, Sidebottom, Pendles, Cox, Crisp, Howe, Quaynor were all excellent - genuinely more better players on the day than the Lions.

I couldn’t believe that Sidebottom goal. I said to the guy next to me “Surely he’s centereing it - no way he’s got the distance.” W

Wowsers. Where’d he pull that kick from? Amazing goal.

I’m also really thrilled for Paddy Lipinksi, who is truly one of the loveliest guys you’ll ever meet. And he did pretty well too.

Well done Pies, another season done and dusted, get to work Bulldogs and get your act together.

Whats wrong with Pagan? He’s ok isn’t he?

See my earlier post.

There’s also 2 sides to every story, but the AFL have swept the racism thing under the carpet so that nothing more will ever come out of it.

Exudes arrogance for a coach underperforming with a list built by tanking & money in more recent times.

obviously biased Victorian umpires just handed it to Collingwood

You seen that “VIC Bias” thread on the main board?

Christ. Victoria this, Victoria that, it’s all a conspiracy, everyone’s against us.

Almost dwarfs the Norf supporter chip on the shoulder/victim complex.

So Dunkley is a $750k a year tagger now? EAD mate, never ever showed the willingness to do that for us, even when we rushed him back in the team after a shoulder reco.

Great granny and the Pies were the better the team on the day. Not really fussed with the Bailey play-on, happens all the time. The 2nd Berry 50 was a disgrace though, but Sidebottom pulling a 60m drop punt out of his Sidebottom was epic.
