Geez I find the constant over analysing of individual umpiring decisions following each and every AFL game so damn nauseating and off-putting.

A win can never be a win without 10,000 comments about which way a particular umpiring call went amongst 120 minutes of football. The AFL also always supposedly wants one particular team to win and favours that team accordingly with umpiring bias, or something. Zzzzz

Great granny and the Pies were the better the team on the day. Not really fussed with the Bailey play-on, happens all the time. The 2nd Berry 50 was a disgrace though, but Sidebottom pulling a 60m drop punt out of his Sidebottom was epic.

You mean where his opponent took the mark and he not only held him, but tackled him to the ground in a way to slow up the play (in theory), only to be one of the most obvious 50m penalties of the season?

Well, it took Collingwood going through McGuire, Buckley, Guy and the disaster they made of the club (racism report, exhausting the players, together with the fire sale of list a few years back) to get to today.

There's hope, but if the club sits back and does stuff all, as I fear, then we're screwed.

Yep, we need a spark. Players buying in and pulling in the right direction. I’m convinced Bevo has lost a fair number of the players. Not sure how many are enjoying their job at the moment.

Players miss kicks, handballs, drop marks, fall over etc during the game.

Umpires miss frees that should have been paid and pay frees that should not have been paid.

I’m sure every nuffy supporter on their couch who thinks the umpires have it in for their side would do a marvellous job as an umpire

We did.

His name is Luke Beveridge.

Unfortunately after winning a premiership he lost the plot, turned into an egomaniac control freak and is now a shadow of his former self.

So furious at him for what he’s turned into since 2016.

He was one of the best coaches in the league, had the adulation of everyone at the club, and has had a Shakespearean style downfall.

I don't think the AFL are competent enough to have any kind of conspiracy. More likely that its the Illuminati or the Freemasons.

Or it could be some combination of self-belief, trust in each other, trust in the gameplan, confidence in the coaching panel, excellent end-of-game planning etc.

Either way, I wish we had whatever they've got.

One thing that stood out to me today was Coleman going long into the centre of the ground with a couple of minutes to go. Resulted in a quick goal and is the play that 17 clubs would risk in that circumstance.

Stood out to me because we would likely go down the line, end up in a series of stoppages and waste time off the clock.

Unshakeable belief and confidence. Ice cold blood in their veins. It's no coincidence. You just knew that if it was close today, the Pies would win it. If it was us, I would be sure we would lose it and we would.

I haven't caught up with any news articles and it was a great game of footy, but i've never seen a GF where so many players were playing for free kicks.

it was just very noticable for me, with so much emphasis on protecting the head, this is going to get worse. Maybe it was just me

We all commented similar, that we all criticise soccer for their acting and now we are doing it at every contest or contact.
