We won't get rid of Nicks unfortunately, but I would absolutely take him as an assistant in the very least.

The writing was on the wall a fortnight ago after the Hawthorn game. But overall a much more financially manageable payout in comparison to what it would have been a year ago. He survived (just), but once Nisbett moved on and with the other off field changes taking effect, the spotlight squarely has fallen on the coaching and development (and unfortunately lack thereof ).

A sad end, but the situation was untenable.

He’d (Simpson) would have the AFC in the finals comfortably. Let him have a break and take over after next season…

Highly arrogant individual, wouldn't be banking on Eagles turning it around with him at the helm. Look at the depths we plumbed culturally under him.
