This is how a ruthless successful club operates, they can see it's time and move him without a second guess. Simpson won them a grand final and made another FFS....

Yet we appear terrified to sack a bloke who's barely won a game in 5 years.
I dont even give a flying rats tossbag about the losses, its the fact that Nicks INSPIRES NO ONE, He has laid out 0 VISION for the future of this club. What do we as the ****ing supporters have to look forward to? Continual Selection of underperforming senior players and non selection/too late selection of performing youngsters? Brodie ****ing Smith at 34 Years of Age Being a Big Part of our Future? The guy needs to be on the flipping chopping block this YEAR. Enough is enough. Give us a head coach with a bit of personality, a vision for the club, some ****ing honesty and transparency from the club.
PLEASE YOU PRICKS.

You know McHenry will come in for Taylor this week.
Nicks' favourite movie is Clueless.

is there a wishlist the average WCE supporter has?

The average WCE supporter (outside of Big Footy) has preference to West Australian or a former WCE person. So immediately Dean Cox and Ashley Hansen are ‘favourites’.

A good section of our supporter base (and not wanting to be ageist 😆) will be upset that that “nice young man” is moving on, but will happily support whoever is installed next.

On our board, Cox and Hansen have been talked about, but all I hope for is a full, rigorous process.

It has been a very insular club for a long time (as most AFL clubs tend to be). All good when winning, but when things have fallen away like they have… then even the most rusted on fan starts questioning things. Simpson was seen as a risk (anecdotally it was a close decision between he and Peter Sumich). Thankful the call went his way, but there was a lot of pressure on him early up until 2018.

The new coach will need to grasp or at least have an idea about the ‘complexities’ of being a club based outside of Victoria also. Shall see how things pan out..

It's a pity you guys are so set on somebody with WA connections, cause I think Kenny is getable, you do love the long tenure, but are prelims OK as a bench mark?

To be fair, they could have sacked him any time the last 3 seasons

Good times.

I never thought we'd actually get worse after Burton got sacked but here we are.
We didn't realise at the time that the camp years would soon be regarded as the good ol' days

Complaining about Mackay being selected every week.

He was miles better than Jones, Murphy, McHenry and Schoenberg.

Sacking a coach whos had 8 wins from the last 58 games is ruthless? Im as down on the Crows as most here but come on...

Adam Simpson has done a magnificent job of tanking when the club needed to rebuild. Didn't just try and make the eight every year, he sent the team down hard and picked up elite talents at the draft as a result.

He will be directly responsible for giving West Coast their next generation midfield

The media will never acknowledge this of course but it was a brilliant parting gift from Simpson and West Coast will be reaping the rewards in 5-8 years

I suspect West Coast know though. The timing and severity of West Coast's fall when they weren't going to contend is certainty suspicious. But they kept him on to be the fall guy rather than sacking him for an astronomical payout in the hopes of a quick fix. Grabbed another top 4 draft pick on his way out

Whilst partly true... wasn't their intention even they paid overs to trade in Kelly soon after their premiership...

That wasn't their intention when they traded him in at the end of 2019. But mid way through 2021 it very much looks like they realised the squad wasn't good enough to win a flag again so... well the results show they almost instantly became shit

A few long term injuries certainly helped their draft position too. Maybe some guys going in for surgery when they could have played and so on

At 1st they didn't originally intend to go shit... just like we didn't & then they claimed they were really rebuilding to cover arse.

The Crows idea of a rebuild is to make the eight every season

There is no way West Coast were genuinely attempting to make finals the last three years
