It was a strange one as they also said they have no problems with him going to the nbl and nrl and no issues with him not going to the football but the issue is with him going to these and posting on instagram and not going to the football?

You can't say you fear crowds but then go to the NBL final and then a NRL match. It would have to be really frustrating for the coach and team mates when he is taking a reasonable slice of the salary cap

Agreed, it’s crazy list management. TDK as a gun FA is one thing - but even 1.7m is just way OTT - but Aleer on 900k will have massive list management implications. Any half decent player on their list, inc the SA guys as you say, will be saying if he is worth that then I am worth that plus 300-500k per year.
If we did that all long term contracted guns - Rachele, Soli, TT, Fog etc - would be pissed I imagine.
