My point is that's what separates us from them, on field at least.
Perhaps not Zorkos age, but we need more quality senior types like that.
Instead we have the likes of Laird and Smith

Pretty much yeah.Instead we have the likes of Laird and Smith
Pretty much yeah.
I suspect one of those will play the majority of next season in the SANFL
Also my concernOne better be unless we have a significant injury list. My concern is that particular player still thinks he is good enough to be a regular in the main 22.
Was the Big Bad Wolf... lots of huff & puff.
5 over 30
Daniher, Cameron, Lester, Neale and Zorko.
And your point?
PS : we had 4 in our last game against Sydney (Bond, Curtin, Michalanney and Dowling)
A very angry coaching duo.Looks like Bassett is joining Goodwin at Melbourne.
A very angry coaching duo.
Had to laugh the other day when Kochhead on 5AA mentioned how young Port were and was effectively using it as an excuse for their finals demise ......but in the same breath said ' we don't talk about that at Port Adelaide'So Midweektackle on Fox Footy put up that on Saturday, the Brisbane Lions will have 5 players 20 years or younger playing in the GF!

Why Johnson foresees Port missing finals in 2025 and Cornes’ concerns with the list
Brad Johnson can’t see Port Adelaide playing finals in 2025.
He spoke about the club’s future with Power great Kane Cornes, who also foresees Port Adelaide struggling next season after analysing the list.
While the duo can see some improvement from the club’s young players, he thinks that the loss of a couple of veterans could see their premiership window close for 2025.
Cornes in particular is worried about the club’s depth, as he feels that the Power are in real danger of missing the top eight despite the club’s best 23 a finals side if they’re fit enough.
Johnson: “For Port Adelaide, can you actually see them playing finals next year?”
Cornes: “No, can you?”
Johnson: “No, I can't either.
“You sort of go ok, the improved players this year were Jason Horne-Francis, Willem Drew, Miles Bergman I thought was good, and so was Jordon Sweet.
“But you just sort of go through and you go they’ve gone 11th, 3rdand 2nd. It's like the last two years have been their opportunity to actually get themselves into a Grand Final and potentially win it.
“Now you’ve got Travis Boak at the end, Charlie Dixon has retired, and you go, where are they going to be?
Cornes: “Well they've really put themselves in a position where they said, ‘We're never going to rebuild’, at least while David Koch, Ken Hinkley and this footy department with Chris Davies is there.
“They've essentially said, ‘Rebuilding is essentially the easy way out’, which I kind of agree with and I kind of respect it because it is the easy way out. Adelaide went to rebuild five years ago … five years down the track you’re still bottom for.”
Johnson: “Why is it that we're doubting them in our footy minds that we're going, ‘They’re not going to play finals’ … even though this list has gone third and second?”
Cornes: “So I think their best 22 is really strong, their best 22 is a finals team.
“But once it drops off and you need to go to players 26 and 27, then their depth just isn't there and they don't have the draft picks to replenish their squad at the moment.”

He is an absolute tool.
He might not be much of a finals coach, but Hinkley is a master at manipulating the media narrative. That Hinkley puff piece on the AFL website is going to infuriate our neighbours lol.
Is this considered a bad thing?Unfortunately we ain’t seen nothing yet.
Why have the best available to do a job ( no matter whom) when we can all bathe in mediocrity?

SEN Sync is the only option and a good one to avoid the thought police.
Couldnt help himself could he, HAD to mention us.
Yes not having the best person for the job is a bad thing. Is this considered a bad thing?
How many of the Triple M tools do we need to have on a broadcast? There are others out there who just might have more brain cells that could offer something as well. We don't have to stay in the 1970's, ex-player only mould.
Don't forget he had a cry after a game as well....He might not be much of a finals coach, but Hinkley is a master at manipulating the media narrative.
He went from the villain for his antics after the Hawthorn game, to 2 days later being the victim.
He's gone from sacked if they don't make the GF, to now having people 'hoping' he will continue.
He's constantly managed to use other clubs vacant coaching positions as a tool to ensure his continuation at Port.
He's a flog, but he plays the media game expertly.
