Rozee declares ports are going to better with Houston out , thinks Berry and Whitlock are going to be stars . The propaganda machine in full effect at alberton oval
Now all he needs to claim is that he performs well under finals pressure lol.

It's something a bloke on talkback radio made up most likely (which is the only source for this story btw).
Have they made sure that clubs have a female presence when their scouts are out watching a Sandringham Under 18s training in June?

The cricket, as always, looks awesome over in Radelaide at the crowval :thumbsu: :hearts:
Agreed man. 110%.Watching now. Its definitely one of the most stunning grounds and outlooks in the world. Quite probably the most picturesque of ALL. Compare it to Intl cricket arenas like ugly non character concrete jungles in NZ, Seth Efrika and even most English grounds (Lords has a certain appeal but the 'alarm clock' was a shocking addition). The Oval is very ordinary. Leeds a little better. Sub contintent (havent been seem pretty ugly and mundane) not much either

Aussie ovals are incredible and we are very lucky - time to be VERY grateful that our love of sport can be easily accommodated for almost all games except perhaps the AFL GF where tix are scarce. Try living in LDN with 10-12m (inc satellite towns) and having ovals with a capacity of 30k ish and securing tickets at reasonable prices. So so different to our experience and one thats easy to take for granted

Optus looks incredibly modern with stunning lighting, the SCG full of character stands and history and a great atmosphere that reverberates around the stadium in a big game, Gabba probably the weakest link but due for redevelopment/demolition which leaves the Big 2 in Oz:

MCG - hard to beat from a 100k capacity perspective. Stunning and overwhelming being at the ground for big occasions. For anyone that hasnt done the MCG tour (tours are thru the MCC gate on the northern side - gate 3 or 4?) do yourself a favour and spend the $15 ish and see the change rooms, learn history, walk briefly on the hallowed turf, see the artwork inc amazing tapestry of history of the G and the 3 prints of Bradman and Tendulkar that went to each of them AND one left over for The G. So much history and is the home of sport in Oz. Its Melbournes icon and compares well to the Opera House IMHO

Adelaide Oval - beautiful and unique. All the noted character stuff everyone loves and with the sunsets showing for D/N tests there are few greater views in global sport. Adelaideans should be VERY proud of the job done in the redevelopment

PS quick mention to the ground in Kingston, Jamaica (murder capital of the world when I was there). $50 to get in. Unlimited drinks where you help yourself to beer, wine and even all spirits just left on the open bar. 'Beer wenches' with portable beer kegs on their bikini clad backs would come and fill you up as you sit. Their was 'a beach' area with sand, palm trees and an above ground pool monopolised by biggish guys drinking piss all day and then seemingly not bothering to get out for toilet breaks. When good pool water turns bad..

Was at the test a couple of years ago against the Poms.

Got talking to a couple of pommy supporters at the Strathmore after stumps on one of the days.

Asked then where they’re from in the UK and had a general chat. They both came out to Oz only for the Adelaide test; said this was the only one they wanted to see because of the Adelaide Oval.

It’s held in high regard over there in Blighty

Can we just ban anyone who uses the word 'woke' in any argument?
Gullible fools.
Sounds like something woke that someone who is woke would say

He's hardly going to front up to the media and say "Yeah, we're objectively worse than last year".

Also they're not worse - didn't Dixon retire?

Yeah its media pr for the fans. Nothing to see here really. Dixon being out is a massive advantage for them. Actually might kick it to someone half decent.

I got my gather round tickets but have to say I'm a little peeved that you only get a 4 game pass for Adelaide oval when there are 5 games, I had to choose between the Saturday night and Saturday morning game, I went with Saturday night.

Not a terrible idea. I always found an extra gear if I knew the netball chicks were watching.

He would say that
Sounded like a very defensive interview

I went to a presentation at crows to physios years ago. They described our set up in a way that suggested once a player was injured they worked primarily with the physios on rehab and the S&C guys worked mainly with the healthy group and in injury prevention. So sounds like similar to this. Wouldn’t be uncommon, just a blurring of where the primary handling/responsibility occurs

Useless information #45

Did you know Ben McKay was the highest paid player in 2024 ......believe it or not

Yes front loaded .....but Ben Mckay, an absolute dud of a backman

Wasn't Jack Martin the highest paid a couple years ago

Lots of money in being a spud

Blues paid him $1M to get him through the PSD, then soon after landing hin extended his contract with a much smaller annual amount.

The AFL changed the rules after, but the last laugh was on the Blues.
