Unfortunately… today was probably the strongest team we put out for the year (on paper) :(
On paper doesn’t translate into reality sadly.
I think it's just hard work now.

The amount of players who've got covid in the same week, it will affect them all for longer than the 14 days, some worse than others.

When the losses mount it's hard to keep backing up.

Was it my eyes deceiving me or did simpson have a pen and contract with him as he was walking towards georgiades 😉...imagine getting pick 1 or 2 in this injury interrupted season and nabbing georgiades when he is ooc...fast track that rebuild

Hmm, that is a very nice prospect indeed. If only haha.
We certainly will have some ample salary cap space being freed up. Sadly it seems we are going all in for English from WB. But who knows. The main priority is the midfield tbh. Interesting times ahead.

Not usually one for online harassment, but get this f***er

If it makes you feel better Tim Baxter stole rate payers money as deputy mayor to run personal trips on a public Myka Card. Apparently he used it 600 times and topped it up with rate payors money, only to claim he confused it for his own Myka card. So much for Mr Perfect.

Carlton still have way too many passengers to be a contender. Newnes, Setterfield, Fisher and Cottrell are all as bog average as it gets. They're very similar to their 2009-11 team, their top 5 is almost as good as any team's, but their depth holds them back from taking the next step.

Lets also not forget, just how much "talent" they have recruited over the years and failed.

They were damn lucky to get Curnow and Cripps too. Cant believe so many teams overlooked Cripps.

Rozee will be fine imo. Everything he does is fast and effective. I don't think he's as soft a everyone says, he just picks and chooses when to go. Iron that out and he'll be a gun.
Very difficult mindset to address though and he wasn't soft when he played HB in his draft year at the SANFL level so only started to play like this in the last few years.

West Coast need to target him or McDonald, Kennedy and Darling are both cooked.

Carlton have no turnover game so if the lose clearances they are in real trouble

I was thinking..

Tex about to turn 32.

How many genuine key-position forwards through the ages have played this well at that age?

Of the 500 goal kickers in AFL history, quite a few were contributing at 32

Alistair Lynch, both Riewoldts, Matthew Pavlich, Tom Hawkins, Lance Franklin, Josh Kennedy, Matthew Richardson, Barry Hall... all 40+ goal forwards at 32 years old

You can go back further of course to the Lockett, Dunstall, Ablett era where they too were still kicking bags in their early to mid 30s

Yeah, "only" 2 games or 33% of the total games games played outside the 8 which is actually quite a lot.....damn, they are really deluded other there.

Needs to put Cr in front of his name. Tells you there's a w***er there all right.
