It's an unbelievable advantage they get every year.

Most of those 17 losses we were unbackable favourites. We would literally lose to Dean Bailey's tanking sides.

I've really enjoyed the AFL media talking up Essendon and Port Adelaide all pre-season only to have both sides blow up spectacularly inside the first 6 rounds

Minuscule crowd, rubbish time slot, no atmosphere, mediocre footy and for a while we looked like choking away a game we held them goalless till halfway through the third quarter. I went to a low grade suburban match on Saturday that was more fun to be at.
