That’s the pear mentality. It all about beating the crows. Heaps of people in Melbourne go to big games in their footy gear to see a good game , not just the 2 club supporter base. If you like the game of footy, you enjoy a genuine contest irrespective of sides

Watching how Collingwood (and Port to be fair) hold structure around every contest it is significantly better than us.

Every time one of their players wins a hot footy they have outlet players they can handball to, even if they get tackled. And those players are 5-10m away so it's a clearing handball, away from the pressure. We're always so congested, everyone piling in for the same ball. If we handball off it's at extremely close quarters so doesn't clear the pressure at all.

We have a lot of dopey players that all go to the ball, we excel in having 3 or 4 players within 1m flat footed.

A lot of the blame should go to our poor quality coaching panel that instructs or allows this structure.
