Sad, as that's basically the season.

Murphy out for a while too... which means the return of Billy.
Saw a discussion recently about how Daicos was likely to win the Brownlow but Bont is the best player in the league

This gives Bont a chance to overtake him

Cam Rayner or Andrew McGrath, who's been the more underwhelming #1 pick?
Think the answer is both.

McGrath for me will always be remembered as the draft pick Essendon should never of had because of the drug scandal... so karma he has just been average.

Geez, what a close season.

We currently sit in 11th, but with 1 extra win we would be in 6th.

It's really going to go down to the line.

The middle 8 teams fighting for 4 finals spots.

Port wouldn't even make top 8 if the ladder was based on percentage
The percentage ladder is...

1 Pies 128 (1)
2 Dees 125 (2)
3 Lions 124 (3)
4 Cats 119 (9!)
5 Blues 117.2 (5)
6 Crows 117.1 (11!)
7 Swans 111 (10)
8 Bulldogs 109 (6)
-----
9 Port 108 (4!)
10 St Kilda 105 (7)
11 GWS 102 (8)

Everyone else below 100%

Port definitely an anomaly.

Geelong taking Port's 4th spot with an average of 119

something in that I reckon

And that is why they really aren’t a chance to win the flag.

I still think Port are a big chance to win the flag. This weekend has shown injuries amd luck are going to play a big part.

Most of their key players will be there in the first week of the finals.
I agree but it sends a cold shiver down my spine thinking of it.

Great midfield, but very vulnerable on the other ends of the ground.

This is why I don't think they'll win it. At least two of your forward line, midfield and defence need to be top four quality, and Port only have a top four midfield. Once Aliir gets taken out of the contest, their already vulnerable defence gets exposed.

FWIW, I'm starting to think Melbourne will win it. They already have a top four midfield and defence. The Petty injury sucks as he was looking to be the answer to their KPF woes, but Oliver and Fritsch will be ready for the finals.

Ok .. so I've read some weird, even deranged posts here on Bigfooty

But FMD, this may take the cake :thumbsu:

The complete lack of self awareness is nothing short of astounding

At least he recognises that we are their natural leader
