Your list manager is very good at his job. I’d back him in to get some things done.

I honestly don’t (and have maintained this belief) believe your list is bad, the new coach will hopefully have a transformative effect - too much talent there to waste.

I know it sounds like a dream, but at some point there will be enough people tired of not moving and some decisive changes made 👍
I love your optimism Shuestar13 , i really do, but i don't have daith in our board to sack nicks and to get this group up and running. We are in for a few more years of mediocrity i feel. Tbh, it would not shock me to see your side shoot past us in coming seasons. I have really changed my perceptions since preseason on my club

Watching Trac and Claz line up in the midfield against our battlers last night and now watching port have 3 genuine A+ graders at their cbas just makes me vomit

Won't win them a flag. I'd bet the farm they don't make a GF this year or next. They go to ******* water when the heats on.

Port have an incredibly soft underbelly.
We hope this to be true but if jhf, butters, rozee, wines stay fit and healthy, they have a winning midfield and that pays for just about everything else these days

Look at Melbourne then, drafted mids with high picks then traded in other positions.
Collingwood similar.

Sorry mate I like you but you massively overrate our list. It stinks.

So how did we do the double over them last year, if they are so unstoppable?

I find this boards fawning over Port Adelaide a little cringe at times.

Melbourne haven't won a flag - I don't count that either 2020 or 2021, load of nonsense.
I get the thinking the COVID Cup of 2020 having an asterisk. Not 2021 though, that had normal quarter lengths played in a normal season time frame even if crowds/venues weren't the same.

Melbourne deserved that flag.

I hear you totally 👍
It’s been a bitterly disappointing start, I mean if one looks at the scorecard and sees three losses by a combined total of 40 points, they would say competitive and unlucky but the reality is something different.

I put my hand up, I thought despite how bad you were against GC with all the factors against, you nearly pinched it and against Geelong, failing to take control and letting a seasoned side put the decisive break on in the third cost you.

Last week… yeah, no hiding from that. I thought Nicks had made some decent progress last year, I did echo some of the reservations on here, but was hoping that this would be a year of full growth. I’ve seen enough. Year 6, you can’t be starting 0-4 with the team looking the way it is. Needs to go, you cannot afford to stagnate.

There is enough talent on the list that with proper structure and a game plan, could play finals. The rebuild isn’t over and I don’t think it is throw it all out and start again, enough there to build on.

We (WCE) have quite a bit more pain to go through. Let’s hope things improve for both of us. Especially as WCE are using the AFC as a guide on how to rebuild :)
