Weak sauce. They were probably basing their opinion off the back of consistent growth and a season where we just missed finals. Adelaide rising and Melbourne falling wasn't a wild pre-season prediction.

Only a few things standing in his way from starting at a centre bounce to do what Maddog said:

1) put together 2 months of solid to great SANFL form
2) get ignored until someone suffers an injury
3) get named as the sub
4) play a quarter as a small forward in a game we're getting rinsed in
5) get dropped because last in, first out.

The footy that Port played last night is how I want us to play, we played like that at times last year only to be let down by some awful goalkicking at times along with a bad goal umpiring decision. They didn't mess around, were a fully focused team and moved the ball beautifully and Essendon just didn't stand a chance.
