Assuming it hasn't changed since 2021, the graphic on this page indicates it would be whichever team was higher on the ladder at the end of the minor round, regardless of what happened earlier in the finals.

Who plays who in week two of the NAB AFLW finals series

So in the scenario discussed here, it would be Melbourne hosting.

Erh no as we go from 6 team final to 8 team final. As Teams 1 & 2 were automatically in Prlim Final.

If Geelong finish 4th and play Brisbane, I’d be expecting a 12 goal+ win for the lions.

Edit: at least the draw probably saves that qualifying final being a total blowout

Congratulations to Port on their 1 win, 17th place season. Great effort 👍
Threw away a win last week Vs St Kilda due to some dumb coaching, I still reckon if they had a more experienced coach they would’ve won that and at least another one through the season.

True, but the part at the end still claims that the GF hone ground advantage goes to the winning Prelim teams who were highest on the ladder. I assume that bit hasn't changed.
But that part doesn't get challenged by the potential upset in the qf as this was pure elimination.

The expansion clubs went a combined 2-1-25 against established clubs.

And I'm not sure beating a team that had a career record of 4-21 over their existence really counts.

BUT - One thing you can take out of this season. The improvement from Richmond and Geelong (Combined 5-15 last season to 14-1-5 this season)

That's on the back of a short off-season.

Surely the AFL looks at that and goes, teams can turn it around quickly. Don't create juggernauts by giving them a plethora of talent.

Having said that, Sydney (and arguably GWS) need a little help as there's a lack of talent in NSW to build them up. Having said that, you saw Sydney convince Ham to nominate for NSW. So one could argue, no one needs help.

1 win against Sydney.

I knew they would be bad this season but didn’t think they’d be this bad!
They had a better list than Hawthorn. They were probably only going to win a few games but 17th is a bad result.

We should be going hard to poach all of their young stars

But Sydney also sent offers to all the best players in the league before the season and got rejected by every single one.
