AFL reviewed the Port Goal footage and claim that the it's inconclusive so are ticking it off as a behind, Umpire claims it hit the post.

Why even bother? It's not like "ticking it off" does anything, they weren't going to reverse the outcome of the match. So why bother to say they're ticking it off at all if the footage is inconclusive?

But if the roles were reversed they would have

Well, according to Member 3,330

We're on percentage watch for Melbourne vs West Coast. Demons up 23-0 at quarter time. If they can win by 77 points, plus 3 points for every point West Coast score, they should leapfrog Brisbane and go into top spot. It's certainly not impossible!
Would much rather face Melbourne in a final

Hypothetical

Say Crows knock off Melbourne next week and Brisbane win, Crows and Brisbane have home prelims

If Melbourne then come back and beat Brisbane in Brisbane and Adelaide also win to make a GF replay, who goes in top seed and home GF if Adel had beaten them in the QF?

That's a really good question and one that the AFL has never had to worry about.

In the men's it's the higher ranked team gets the home designation right?

So in that case it would be Melbourne

But the AFL GF is always played at the MCG. In AFLW it's the ground of the higher winner. If Adelaide (3rd) had already beaten Melbourne (2nd) in the first final, and they both make it through, then who hosts the GF?

I think it would be Melbourne still.

I think it used to be whoever won the designated 1st preliminary final got home advantage, but they changed it to higher ranked team

But surely a team coming through the semis loses their higher seeding?

May not have to worry about it but be interesting if it happens
