Hey guys good luck for next Saturday (Please do the rest of a country a favour and defeat Collingwood). In the case that you guys do lose and we win, I am planning on coming to Perth for the first time to watch us play. Can anyone recommend some places to stay that aren’t to far from the stadium but at the same time not to far from the city. (I’ve never been to WA before so literally have no idea where anything is)
The Sebel in East Perth is ok. 5 minute walk to the new bridge, easy peasy.

... wonder whether this will gain any traction in the local media..

WHAT MCCLURE SAID

“Forces are at work at the Brisbane Lions to lure contracted Fremantle star Lachie Neale to Queensland for next year,” McClure told SEN’s Whateley.

“Neale is open to exploring the option, but he is yet to inform Brisbane of that. Now the chances of Lachie Neale being in a Brisbane jumper next year are real.

“The only stepping stone is that he is contracted and the ability of Fremantle to have the power to hold him to that contract.

“Brisbane is open to trading their coveted first-round selection, which is currently pick four.

“The jungle drums in the industry for the last couple of weeks that Brisbane had found someone, a big fish, and Mitch Wallis was talked about and Seb Ross, and they’ve been linked to a few, but he’s the one they’re going hammer and tong for.”

“Neale has an exit meeting with Ross Lyon and the club in the next 48 hours where this will be brought up,” McClure said.

“Fremantle has a desperate fight on their hands to keep him at the club.”

Pick 4, for Lachie Neale?

Good player, respect his work ethic & ability but I really don’t think he’s the sort of midfielder that will really take you to the next step.

AFL.com.au reporting on it now that Neale took it to the dockers. The deal must be pretty decent.

Can’t blame Neale for wanting to try and taste some success before he retires.
It's been shown over a period of time now, that if you hope to achieve success, then a strategy of remaining loyal to Fremantle when you are good enough to take your talent elsewhere, is a path to disappointment. e.g. Pavlich, Fyfe. Neale has learned from these guys' mistakes it seems. Props.

Would freo use pick 4 to get Kelly?

Would be interesting to see how he went at Freo.

Would only be behind Fyfe in the pecking order with Cerra and Brayshaw still young. He wouldn't get the same protection he currently gets at Geelong.

Could be another Headland.
