Never thought I would see the day where I actually got tickets through Ticketmaster without the usual website crashes after payment
But seriously - what sort of incompetent idiot does not see that 2x Melb finals going on sale at the same time (teams with big supporter bases too) would crash most systems.
Just read on the AFL FB thread that Ticketek wanted to stagger the sale and AFL said no - sell them all at once.

Hey guys good luck for next Saturday (Please do the rest of a country a favour and defeat Collingwood). In the case that you guys do lose and we win, I am planning on coming to Perth for the first time to watch us play. Can anyone recommend some places to stay that aren’t to far from the stadium but at the same time not to far from the city. (I’ve never been to WA before so literally have no idea where anything is)

If you can afford the Crown, stay there. Or somewhere in East Perth.

You're probably best off getting a hotel room in the central city. Stadium is around a 5-6 minute train ride from the city. Alternatively you can stay at Crown (a few options I think) and walk to the ground. Probably depends on how you feel about casino complexes.

AFL Incompetence knows no bounds!
Don't give any money to Crown. They make enough off of pensioners as it is.
Give the lab Pan Pacific, Novotel or Mercure Hotel a bash. Anything along St Georges/Adelaide terrace. There's the stadium bus running along the terrace that will take you to the bridge.
Within earshot of the city as well.
Here in Melbourne for work and the papers are full of pissed of Victorians regarding Thursday night football. The radio stations talk back radio are sooking it up big time. Here is a small sample from the HUN.
