Not playing finals from 2002-12 inclusive a factor as they had a longer list build giving them more depth of talent

Our ability to bounce back quickly after poor periods is good but we’ve not had a history of long periods of high draft picks which means we don’t stay in contention as long

This build will be different as we’ve already had 3 years outside finals and are at least 2 years from returning, probably longer

Its arguable how much talent they actually had. Even Alex Rance on Backchat said they weren't the most talented squad in any of their flag years

The argument is Its much much harder to win one from over here than from being based in Victoria.

But the fact is they won 3 we won 1.
