If Essendon miss finals again and the top 4 is all non-Vic however...
I'd say it's guaranteed.
Norf and Richmond at least have coaches who are safe, so players will want to impress.
Our mob has probably 10 or so guys destined to be de-listed and an interim coach.
They'll probably put in for the derby(still lose) but coast for the final few games.
There'll be a few who'll fight it out(Yeo, Reid, Gov, Barrass, Oz, Hough, Duggan(if he plays) & Hunt) but the rest look likely to pull up stumps, or at least not give maximum effort.

We still play North in Tasmania three weeks from now. On current form I can't see the Eagles winning that.
The games against Fremantle next week and Rounds 23-24 against Carlton and Geelong will sink West Coast's percentage below that of both North and Richmond.
The only way West Coast don't finish bottom is if Richmond lose all their remaining matches - and they have North and Gold Coast at home among those.

It's disgusting how the Dockers gave away two first rounders for Luke Jackson only to get three picks in like the top 10 two years later while our bum asses have been sitting on the ass end of the ladder for three years and can only have a pick in the top 3 and not another pick until like the 30's the show for it #BackTheBoysIn #synergy

That’s called good list management.
While Freo were not able to hold onto some good ones in recent years their management has turned those losses into wins.
Compare that to the way we have managed our list in recent years.
It is no wonder the two teams are in their respective positions.
Credit where credit is due Freo off and on field are travelling well.

Wilfully ignoring the fact that the picks they have accumulated are the result of players wanting to leave.
Ignoring also that we have very little tradeable commodities.

Lol - you realise that since Freo started their rebuild in 2016, they missed finals for 6 years (2016-2021) made top 6 in 2022, finished 5th last in 2023 and probably play finals this year. That's not great list management.

Remember pick 2 for Weller?
Pick 23 for Mayne.
Pick 6 for Cerra.
Now they'll recieve pick 6-8 for Shultz.
