No Geelong thank you - don’t really mind any of the other 3 winning the whole thing, although my tip is Brisbane providing they don’t get the yips like they often do - even tonight they were 4.12 at one stage! I just have this feeling that it’s their year.I’ve been trying not to think of the other prelim. Swans must win. Simply must, the alternative is sickening.
They played a great game last week and appear to be ready. I’m ok with another Swans v Cats grand final if it comes to that! Time to cast those mental demons aside (the Swans).
Try and spot when the pre finals bye was added.Straight-sets exits

My preference is Port v Brisbane GF.I'd say it's this...
95% Geel v Syd
2% Geel v Port
2% Bris v Syd
1% Bris v Port

Hough. Every game.Look how close starcevich is marking Greene, I can’t remember the last time one of our defenders marking like that
Also had Brisbane kicked a bit straighter then they wouldn’t have been down by 44 points as think at half time GWS had gone through the posts only 2 more times. Just imagine being a Brisbane supporter on a night like tonight lol.Insipid? 44 points down and they got up. Na that's not insipid.
Geelong are also massive chokers in prelims!Love everyone saying well that's it it's Geelong's flag now as if a team that has choked harder than any team I can think of in consecutive weeks would have made any difference had they held on
The top 4 haven't all made the preliminary finals since 2020. Seems to be happening a lot now.Straight sets is straight sets imo
Doesn't matter if you get flogged or lose 2 close ones.
2 chances to get to a Prelim blown.
It sucks but that's it.
At least a few teams are doing it now which is good.
Don't have the full list but I'd say majority now have?
Maybe not Adelaide (can't remember them doing it.. or obviously GC... or Freo?)

This might sound weird, but I hate prelim finals. Lose and you feel like you've blown a flag but win and you still need to win again next week for it to mean anything.I’d love to experience my team choke in a prelim in next 5 years.
Having watched their home games and observed the so-called attendance, this is bordering on a hypothetical concern.Imagine being a fan, poor campaigners
Yeah I think Geelong will be happy with the result. I'm pretty sure GWS have beat Geelong 2 or 3 times at Alphabet stadium in recent years so they would've been confident playing them at the MCG.I would have thought Brisbane midfield is more suited to Geelong than gws, who are bigger and dominated for large part.

And we did it with a BANG...At least when we went out in straight sets it was the year after a flag.

Mmm interesting, I don't think we have ever lost a PF?? Seems like we either finish top 4 and storm through to a home PF ('06 we went the long way).I’d love to experience my team choke in a prelim in next 5 years.
