It’s a bloody he said/she said ****ing shemozzle. I always said when it was floated that he was a chance to coach us, that I found it unusual as he absolutely hates us with every fibre of his body. It wouldn’t have been a good fit, he seriously hated us. And as much as he hated us, im not suprised at the recent relevations, he is that ****ing driven to succeed that none of it is a surprise to me. Borderline nutter.

Have plenty of admiration for Selwood. People say he's a ducker but the fact is, when the free kick isn't called he continues with the play and gets the hands out the vast majority of the time.

If Carlton hadn't screwed us out of a priority pick all those years ago and we'd have taken him I feel like the last 15 years would have been much different for us. Love his attitude and the way he plays the game.

He’s probably right and as you say....how ironic.

Gil is all about optics and the AFL brand....over and above anything else. My guess is that Clarkson and Fagan are done as senior coaches at AFL level and no judicial process (fair or otherwise) will save them now.

I think you may be right. I can see no clear result coming out of this unless there is some sort of recordings / evidence to back up what is being alleged . It will end up being they said v they said . The fact that a former assistant coach has mad some different allegations puts another layer in it. It is a messy situation.

I would immediately make him the highest paid non senior coach in the game if that would get him over the line. Which I imagine it will not.

Champion player, champion human, amazing leader - you build success around blokes like him. He is the template for what we should be looking to bring in to our club.

On Selwood, hasn’t his reputation just gone to brave new heights over the past week? He was always held in high esteem by plenty, and also had his detractors. He has won over a tonne of folks with his endeavours on and after the big stage last weekend. It’s almost endearing seeing people admit they got it wrong about him

my interpretation (purely from the headline) was club based. Ie. something like finishing 2nd in both comps puts you ahead of a club winning a premiership and a wooden spoon

Done in the VAFA. SKOB or Xavs win every year

They used to have the McClelland Trophy when there was full fledged reserves and thirds, then it became for the "minor premiership" after that. I love club championship rankings in local leagues, buried somewhere in the local "Leader" or "Follower" magazine (Record).
