They got one of those FRPS because they traded hopper to Richmond

Essendon drafted Aaron Francis with an earlier pick that same draft and traded him to Sydney last year for a much worse return.

The Suns had the same AFL handouts and are a much worse team with none of the success. At some point credit where credit is due

Which is exactly my point.

Hopper was an academy pick and clearly a better player than Francis in hindsight. Francis was highly touted in his draft year so hard to pin that on our recruiting team.

Suns didn’t have as great a hand as GWS were dealt but boy did they butcher their list management decisions early on.
