Back to back straight sets is bloody impressive, congrats Melbourne and Port, you really Essington’d it.

Port didn't make finals last yearBack to back straight sets is bloody impressive, congrats Melbourne and Port, you really Essington’d it.
I know Hogan nominated GWS when he left the Dees but we really should have been in his ear at the time. Would've been exactly what we needed.
They got one of those FRPS because they traded hopper to Richmond
Essendon drafted Aaron Francis with an earlier pick that same draft and traded him to Sydney last year for a much worse return.
The Suns had the same AFL handouts and are a much worse team with none of the success. At some point credit where credit is due
I stand corrected. They’ve lost their last four home finals though .Port didn't make finals last year
their midfield is insane, tom green, coniglio, kelly all have such insane class, ball skills and football smarts that i'm shocked they didn't finish top 4, their season looked over in the middle of the year around the bye, now i'd say they're a chance to beat the pies next friday nightHogan probably doing better/thriving out of the footy fishbowl I don't think there would have been the same outcome if he went back to Melbourne with the stuff that was going on in his life. Made such a difference with those big contested marks and goals. If Hogan keeps standing up they give it a shake. Great to see Coniglio playing well. Their mids hands in tight were so good and creative. Hopefully Briggs gets up but I imagine they have other monsters lining up if he doesn't.
Well he actually returned home to Perth when he left Melbourne and played for Fremantle due to family / personal reasons . But yes we should have been in his ear when he decided to leave Fremantle. Not sure he wanted to come back to live in Melbourne but who knows.I know Hogan nominated GWS when he left the Dees but we really should have been in his ear at the time. Would've been exactly what we needed.
And then Giants called HTB moments later. Rude.lmfao what a shocking non-call in the middle on rozzee
They've lost Adams and they come up against that midfield. And Briggs.if i was collingwood, i’d be very worried about next week. this gws team is in some pretty stellar form right now
Trading for Jesse Hogan was one of the best things they did. That forward line next year; Hogan, Cadman, Greene, Daniels, Bedford, Riccardi. If they don't make a GF this year they may well next year.Crazy thing is GWS are doing this and have pick a better pick in the draft than Essendon. A 2nd First round pick and a former No 1 pick key forward developing in the VFL.
Their list management team is really exceptional
I can't stand the thought of the alternative timeline of Carlton vs Collingwood. Ergh.Giants v lions GF would be a great watch.
Allows Alir to play total intercept .One more thing about Port; I don't see how bringing in either Rats or BZT fixes their backline. They should be going after McKay.
Briggs was in a lot pain looked like a torn pec. They've lost Adams and they come up against that midfield. And Briggs.
If there’s one side you’d wish your side to be I reckon ot would be Giants. Great balance of attack and defence. Class level of that midfield and the way they play with high skill level. Defence is underrated with guys like Idun and Buckley stepping up. Balance of that forward line with talls and two pressure smalls plus the elite Greene. Physical as well ..got some big athletic boys.their midfield is insane, tom green, coniglio, kelly all have such insane class, ball skills and football smarts that i'm shocked they didn't finish top 4, their season looked over in the middle of the year around the bye, now i'd say they're a chance to beat the pies next friday night
That is a very good point. and with better picks and an impetus for change thrown in as steak knivesFor all the s**t we went through in the second half of this season, we won as many finals as Melbourne and Port combined.
Not in regards to Melbourne (better picks)That is a very good point. and with better picks and an impetus for change thrown in as steak knives
